Are they playing more than one show there? Los Angeles announced a " series of live sets"?
Cool for you guys! I'd like to join you all, but probably won't happen due to the financial crisis in my wallet

Ah, yes, the tortures of travel for Chems shows. My own personal favorite was waiting for an hour and a half at 3 a.m. while a bus was delayed to take me back to Washington, D.C. from New York after I caught the Chems DJing @ Centro-Fly in 2003.
Think of it this way: they're paying you to sit there and wait. ;-)

Chemd it would be so cool if you could come out here. It's so expensive I know. But as long as you're in S. California then my home is open to you.
And that goes for other weary travelers. It is not as though I live across the road from the Hollywood Bowl. I live south of that, about an hour, hour and a half (depending on traffic) down the highway in Orange County. My place ain't huge but it's a place to crash if you need to before or after the date if you plan to be here a few days. I'll book some time off work so I can play tour guide. And I'll make you pancakes.
We'll have to coordinate the logistics closer to the date. I'm thinking of getting a hotel the night of the show that's closer to the venue. I don't know yet. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that the Chems are gonna be at the freakin Hollywood Bowl!!

Oh you're definitely worthy. Anyone who makes any effort to go to gigs is definitely worthy.
The bus ride was actually really sweet, because I had always travelled by car before and had never flown so two and a half days seemed reasonable to get to California. It was on the way back, when I had had one night in a bed in seven days and was having the Blue Mondays after my first ever hit of E that I started to get a bit unhinged. I nearly ended some old lady with an oxygen tank in Iowa at 4 AM when she wouldn't STFU.
HAHAHA @ Whirly: I forgot we dubbed it the HMS Galvanize.
