On Depeche Mode's oficial forum, in order to register we must fill in our nickname, password and e-mail adress but we also must fill a special captcha, which is a quesiton concerning a DM song. I remember that mine was "Complete these lyrics : Your own personal..." Obviously anyone who knows Depeche Mode would be able to know that the word after is "Jesus", since the song is just their biggest hit ever.
The goal is to avoid spambots on the forum.

So what I mean is that, as we are currently invaded by spambots, something new should be added in order to register, which would consist in a simple question concerning the Chems. For example "Back with another one of these block rockin'...".
Therefore we would be sure that any new account not only is a human being but is also here for the Chems.

I guess mods cannont change anything to that but if an admin reads the forum (even if it is in 3 years), you should consider this suggestion !

I have been having this idea for a long time...actually one year ago, when I suscribed on DM's forum, cause the Chems forum was already invaded by spams back then.

I like this. I am all for any idea that nips spambot activity in the bud.

For the record, I have no way of getting ahold of the admin directly unfortunately. Though I did notify the other mod who has some contact with the admin. They are aware of the issue but whether any action is taken remains to be seen...

I think it's a very good idea.
It can be a simple question, like 'chemical brothers are tom and....?' or 'Whats the name of their latest album'

I think it is essential to do something like that. I could do the coding too, not that I would ever be given access though. I'd do it, and other mods, for free!!
