Oh no!!! Oh no, damn!!! I just thought of something so sad. Even though we won't be able to make it out to Indio/Palm Springs to meet up with Bosco, I told him we'd give him a ring anyway. But I've lost his number because it was in my pm.
Hopefully he wrote my number down, but I feel so bad. He'll think we totally flaked on him and dissed him by not calling. :(
Does anyone have his cell # and if so email it to me: whirlygirl_29@yahoo.com ?

The whole Ed Banger block was hella fun.
Previous to the festival, I had talked to Busy P on the coachella message board, where he was hyping his set with DJ Mehdi on the Saturday of the festival. They were set up to play the same time against Arcade Fire, so he knew he had to try and rally as many troops as he could. I mentioned to him that I would definitely be there and would be wearing that lime green "BOSCO" shirt I showed you guys. And I also knew it was his Birthday on the 21st of April so i wished him a early happy birthday. He replied back to me thanking me for my kindness and guaranteed me a free Ed Banger shirt. :)
So as Saturday came rolling on and MSTRKRFT finished up, I made my way up to the front rail easily and was spotted by Busy P right away. He came over and gave me a handshake followed by the first Ed Banger shirt he gave out for the day. :)

So as Busy P and DJ Mehdi finished up their long and fantastic set, which included Arcade Fire's "Rebellion Lies", Aphex Twin's "Window Licker", and finished with Rage's "Killing in the Name of". They secretly made their way into the crowd front row for the very first ever Justice set. Thus these pictures:

Then, towards the end of the Justice set Busy P came over by me in the front row where i helped him get over the barrier and on stage, which then he took some video of me and my "BOSCO" shirt rockin out (that might be on a future ED Banger DVD).
Eventually, DJ Mehdi and So-Me came up on stage with Busy P and they all stage dove into the unexpecting enormous crowd.
those 3-4 hours of my life were very very very exciting.
Those french blokes sure know how to party.

Ok, as I’ve sat here tonight and started typing out about 1/4th of my long ass story. I’ve realized that it’s probably better off to be saved for one of those "late night conversations" (if I should ever meet some of you people) because while im writing it out im I don’t feel like im give justice to the story. So im just gonna give you my story in a nutshell.
In a very complicated manner, where the person that was giving me a ride to and from the festival, both of our cell phones died at the end of the night. Thus, leading me to have to hitchhike the first night of Coachella.
Then the next night, somehow my recharged cell phone slipped out of my pocket and got lost. And initially I thought it was stolen because it had been turned off (went straight to voice mail when we called it with my ride’s, also, recharged cell phone.)But was able to get it back on Sunday Morning.
Nothing went wrong on Sunday night (thank god)
The first two nights were hella stressful though. But im glad its happened it’s a good reality check and shows how I can survive out on my own.
As for the performances.......
(copied from the coachella messageboard)
~Friday~
The Greats:
Brother Ali
Faithless
Bjork
The Good:
The Jesus and Mary Chain (w00t! for "happy when it rains")
Peeping Tom
The Bads:
Flosstradamus and Kid Sister
David Guetta (was this guy even mixing? It seemed like he just played popular dance tracks that went unmixed, Big thumbs down)
Digitalism (and im a fan....)
~Saturday~ (arrived late)
The Greats:
Hot Chip
Busy P and DJ Mehdi (thank you P for the shirt. I wore the shirt on Sunday and at least 30 people asked me where i got it from. I felt very special )
Justice (noice)
Mike Relm ( would have seen Gotan Project but outdoor stage had a delay, o well mike was great!)
Cornelious (awesome visuals, awesome show. Lost my cell phone at the end but got it back the next day! Sweet! Thank you front row chick at Cornelious!)
The Good:
MSTRKRFT (they did a decent job, i dont know what the big fuss is all about)
The Bad:

What the Feck! (side note):
AIR (what the fuck! Placebo even ended early and they couldnt get these guys up on stage in time. By 9:10 i left early for the sahara tent were Paul Van Dyk was finishing up to get a good spot for Happy Mondays. I litteraly went from disaster to disaster. Thank god for Rage.
