It's amazing how many of those are really top tracks. Other than perhaps the Smashing Pumpkins, I struggle to think of another band with such consistent quality among their leftovers.

Ya really, b-sides are usually left overs but a lot of these could have their own single like loops of fury! (i.e. morning lemon, not another drug store (it's a stretch!)) :)

Not Another Drugstore is outstanding. Same with many of the b-sides like Spring, EBW 7, Flashback, etc. Could have been singles in their own right.

I honestly can't see straight enough to pick out mistakes, but I don't see any glaring errors. Obviously you excluded the remixes and live tracks but that's cool.

Hmm. The Duke wasn't really a b-side, it just appeared on the bonus Singles disc. Same with Otter Rock, that one was pulled out of the vault for the bonus disc. I don't think Delik was a b-side either. But i've been wrong a million times so someone please correct me if I'm wrong. It was played on the Live @ the BBC, but when I first heard it all those years ago I didn't know it was Delik.

It was anType who brought up the whole Delik song in the old tracks suggestions for Singles bonus disc forum. He kept saying that yes, it was a song, but everyone thought he was misinformed. Then a few months later it magically appeared on the bonus disc. How cool is that?

Delik was originally released as Life is Sweet (Delik 1)...

I just seen that list and didnt realise i had most of them, i am missing a few though. I have listened to Studio K but dont know what single its on and I have never heard of flashback or the diamond sky. Help please. Also are they any good, or possibly versions of other tracks. I only heard studio k once a long time ago, i think it has to something to do with the sunshine underground?

Hey prochem, nice thread ;-). Shik1 is right about 'Loops Of Fury', it's an ep. I've got it as vinyl. Sadly they didn't put the 'Get Up on It...' version from this ep on DYOH. It's frickin' great and longer.

Didn't know Delik was played on the BBC show, whirly. Will check my libary now. Hopefully I've got it.

@Chops, you can call Studio K an intrumental of The Sunshine Underground. But i think there are some slight variations between them (no melody and different intro as I can remember). And The Diamond Sky is a classic and great break/big beat tune which contains samples of Surrender (title track). This one is a burner imo!

I would love to hear Let Me In MAte and Prescribtion Beats. I've never had the chance to as yet.

Well and as for My Mercury Mouth, i think it was an EP that also contained 'If You Kling...' and 'Dust-Up Beats'. 'Dope Coil'and 'Her Jazz' were part of The Fourteenth Century Sky EP too. All had been released as The Dust Brothers at that time.

ya i know, but i think that technically they are b-sides. And i did not include ebws that arent their own song because their not b-sides.

.

@chops

.

you can find those tracks on

A) Let Forever Be (Let Forever Be, The Diamond Sky and Studio K

B)Hey Boy Hey Girl (Hey Boy Hey Girl, Flashback, Scale)

C) Studio K is a different version of the sunshine underground.

Prochem at your service.

Nice one - its funny really, Surrender is my favourite album but its the era i got the least singles from. No idea why.

@Csar - Prescription Beats is on Block Rockin Beats. Its pretty good, not a lot to it, its got loads of mad drumming and effects kinda like Keith Moon in a car alarm factory.

Prochem:

If you are counting Electronic Battle Weapon 7 and tracks from EPs, than you might want to add Electronic Battle Weapon 6 from the American EP. I would list it by H.I.A.

I think EBW 6 is different enough from Hoops to be considered its own song. Sure, it's technically a remix, but so are Delik and Studio K.

Nice list either way. I am a huge fan of the Chem's b-sides and am looking forward to the new ones.

You could also add the Rock Drill to the list. For now, EBW9 should also be on that list, since it's technically pre-WATN. Also, it's "(The Best Part of) Breaking Up".

Under the Influence (mix #2) could also go on the list if that counts.

Yeah, thats all that I can come up with.

I don't think mix2's should be on the list this is STRICTLY B-SIDES. I'm still going to concider ebw6 as a hoops remix. "Enjoyed" actually has it's own title. Some of you may not understand where i'm coming from but thats just what i think. Maybe I should make a list of remixes people have done on their songs too.
