well sorry Acid Children. Nothing really officials. Just somes rumors. what is sure : the album was made in six weeks and there is two rumors : it's near acid house album an another, it's a new concept, something really different. To be honest i don't believe this two rumors.

Like usual, there is no dates of gigs. Perhaps we can hope it, but for me, infortunately, we have to wait and see.

Push the button is sitting right next to me. Got here today. Funny because I bought the galvanize promo about a week before the PTB promo (both coming from england) and the PTB promo got here first. I think the Galvanize promo is probably coming via "Pigeon" post.

Here are the pictures of my promo with catalog number XDUSTCDJ 7

Note that on the CD the text appears redish. This is not the case, it's acually black.

So I've listened to the album once on the nice stereo system. A few of the begining tracks in the car and a run by of the album again (for my sister) on the stereo again. I try to keep my "review" in a general sense, not describing to much of the tracks (with the exception of "Left Right"). I will say my general opinion about the whole album, reaction of a non chemical fan, and my favorite tracks.

I think a majority of album is unlike anything the chems have ever done before. I say this in a good sense they took the album in a fantastic direction and I throughly enjoy it. I wanted my sister to listen some of the tracks because thought she would like some. She expressed a great interest in the album and wanted to know when it was coming so she could buy it. This is coming from a girl who, whenever I put anything in the CD player with the words "The Chemical Brothers" on it, would emediatly try and press the eject button. The music on the album is something huge and epic that when you're listening to it you think about how all encompassing it is. I was one of the people who kept my self sheltered from the radio rips and previews (with the exception of Come Inside, and Surface to Air which were both featured on the Live Chile performance). I read about how everyone thought how fantastic the tracks were. Well if thought that those tracks, with the exception of Galvanize and Surface to Air, were fantastic than you have seen nothing yet. The level of music increases ten fold and you will be blown out of the water.

Favorite tracks at this point are:

*Galvanize

*The Boxer A really fun fun track Like I said I don't want to go into to much detail that it spoils it. The effects of the vocals remind me of Elton John's "Bennie and the Jets". Even though I like this track alot already, I think it's going to grow on me even more and I'll fall in love with it even more. It's got alot of stuff in it that chemical fans will be comfortable with.

*Hold Tight London (As the track progresses, and you hear the womans voice, you get that rush of the epic'ness, drums)

*The Big Jump is a really fun track that make me grin really wide when i hear it. reminds me a little or Orange Wedge.

*Close Your Eyes is probably in the top 4 of my favorite tracks on the album do what this track tells you: close your eyes, sit down, and put your head back and listen to it. Your emotions and body will change by the end.

*Marvo Ging Really love it, Some of parts of it remind me of Leo Kottke's music. If you know who he (And I doubt any of you will), you'll see what I'm talking about when you hear the album.

*Surface to Air:....Songs like this make you appreciate you're not deaf.

Top Four tracks (in no particular order): Surface to Air, The Boxer, Marvo Ging, Close Your Eyes.

Commentary about the other tracks:

Come Inside: Remind me alot of the Chemical's earlier stuff kinda EPD era and im not sure why.

Left Right: Accapella: The track's music is pretty unique compared to other hip-hop/rap tracks and kinda has a 70's feel too it. I really dont care to much for the vocalist voice kinda sounds like he's trying to be like everyother hip hop artist. What I've found in the past whenever the Chem's have had hip hop artist featured they've picked really unique people who have their own unique "voice", Guy who did Not another drug store, k-0s, q-tip. It's like he's almost trying to sound like Jay-z (i just realized that like all these guys have -'s in their names). When I hear lines like "March wit meh" and "I'ma Solja, right head hip hop, wit my guns by mah sighed ready to ride" Plus I've always liked it that the chem's have never had their music been tied up in current affairs, it makes them timeless and by including lyrics that are contemporary it destroys that. I remember listening to an interview by someone who works on the simpsons and they were saying how in the early days they couldnt get an episode done in time to make a joke about something that was going on in the world and that he thought that it helped the show not to have that option.

Shake Break Bounce: fun track, spanish influence?

Believe: Decently good track but if they were looking for an acid'ish or gritty track why didn't they use Acid Children instead?

The music on the album is terrific and if you've got musical taste you'll have no problem liking it. I think some things that are a little different than past chem's albums is that there are so much "traditional chemical's build ups" in all of the tracks, the build ups are still there and are pulled of quite masterfully but aren't exactly the same. I'm happy to have read that other people have found that they really like the album too. It kind of puzzels me that people reacted to positively to this album and so adversly to Come with us. I would have figured it would have been the other way around. I predict that Believe, come inside, surface to air, and maybe hold tight london (as a transition) will be chosen to be performed live. I recommend that you find yourself a good stereo, a room with no light at all, a comfy seat, and about an hour and 18 seconds to yourself where no one will distract you from witnessing one of the most impressionable ablums the Ed Simons and Tom Roland have produced.

And with all that said, WHAT THE HELL DO I KNOW?? the wait is well worth it.

I want to also not that I wrote this review without reading anyone else review of the album. So my review is probably less skewed than most.
