Am I the only one who doesn't really dig Screamadelica? :?
After reading so many positive reviews, I've listened to it and thought "Meh?"...
It has some good tracks, but doesn't really sound like a classic to me. :(
It's good, but it is really overrated. It's a weird album, mostly rock more than electronic type thing, but a good chillout album none the less. I just happen to dig the electronic chillout a bit better (The Orb, Boards of Canada and that sort of thing)

Screamadelica is one of those records I like to listen to on the comedown after a party.
Sort of a rare occasion nowadays but listening to it brings back those burnt out memories. ;)
It was just one of those defining records really, that helped shape the face of the Manchester scene of the late 80's and early 90's.

Screamadelica is THE summer album. Whether driving around town doing nothing in particular, or lying in a park with a spliff looking at the clouds, if it's sunny, warm, and peaceful out, Screamadelica is the shiznizz.
Indeed, and some fantastic producers are on it, too: Andrew Weatherall, Alex Paterson (The Orb), Hypnotone etc.
