next youll be telling me you can isolate a vocal using this method.
i know the trick you mean and the results do leave you with the part your after but ALL of the frequencies have been removd - so you dont get a good version of the part, just whatevers left over.
well im looking forward to hearing your results anyway!

and how do you propose remixing chems tracks without the actual multi-tracks??? :?
you culd remake the tracks, or sample tiny little bits and make a re-edit but a remix aint gonna happen.
not to piss on anyines bonfire but it seems like a pretty limited idea to me.
That's why only creative minds are invited.
your really are a complete penis.

My view is that it is just retarded to have an INTERNET FORUM CD made where every step of the organizational process is done ONLINE until it comes to publishing end-results. Sure it fits the clique of people who are buddies also offline and go together to see the chems at nye or something like that but for other people it makes sense not to drop this INTERNET way of doing things when it comes to distributing the INTERNET FORUM CD.

Well last time people preferred to distribute the tracks by snail mail. I asked for digital downloads in addition to central mailing but couldn't convince the main players. Maybe you have a supply of better arguments?

In other words, you agree with me on the digital download subject but last time you got too much resistance from the group although imho it's the best way to get noticed and people who don't agree are dumb and ignorant to the powah's of teh 1nt4rw3b?

Well, if I let that stand there is just too much of a chance for misinterpretation and pissing people off for no reason so I'll break that interpretation to parts:
In other words, you agree with me on the digital download subjectYes.
but last time you got too much resistance from the groupYou could also say that I just didn't get much support for the idea.
although imhoYour or my opinion? I can't agree to this wording:
it's the best way to get noticed and people who don't agree are dumb and ignorant to the powah's of teh 1nt4rw3b?Get noticed? Do you mean some sort of internet fame? Well that wasn't the point last time. My point was that the cd shouldn't end up in the closed-doors-inner-circle but we could offer our fan production to any online surfer (much like the "music from the jilted generation" compilations @ brainkiller).
And I'm not calling people dumb! (Maybe a little ignorant.)

That's what I said.
We shouldn't make this one just for ourselves, but for everybody out there who loves a chemical-inspired tune! That's the reason why we should support digital dowload.
Let's face it folks: Compact Disc is dead. Especially for a project like this.

Anyone who wanted one only had to post over a few bucks and their mailing address. How hard is that?
I'm not against having it digitally released and I think it could be an opportunity for our amazing budding producers on here to get some exposure, but so long as the organizers are up for a physical release, I'm always going to support having that as an option.
On a side note, I had iTunes on shuffle the other day and came across this really amazing song that I couldn't quite place what it was, but thought it was impressive and I should seek out some more work by the artist. Clicked over to iTunes, turns out it was 'Recurrence' by Whirly. 8O Goes to show the quality of our peeps on here.
(Oh, yeah, and Mike, I owe you a beer or two for the disc still, as I think I got my copy through Jeanie and never paid up. Next year, maybe! :D )

plus there was the album art, which was done really well by iggy so itd be a shame ot to promoite that, andnot to mention that its nice to have a physical CD to own as well ;)
but i think the plan was always kind of lets keep it in CD and after a while stick it on t'web. im certainly no luddite ;)
so, if anyonme wants to put vol 1 on the web (min rip rate 256kbps) then i certainly have no objections.

That's cool man, I'm quite up for visiting North America at some point in the future anyway. Hopefully some point next year, but unless I get minted quick, it'll probably be 2008. It'll cost a bomb though coz I've got so much to do and people to see! Ah well, money's no good to you when you're dead, right?
