Well, it was very rude of us to call so late at night, and not having all our wits about us, well... it's not a good excuse! We just thought since you didn't pick up your cell phone that you might be at home, but if it's Saturday night in NYC then we should've known you'd be out and about.

Your roommate should be living it up. What's she doing home on a Saturday night in the Big Apple?

Tell your roomie I'm really sorry. It's normally not my style to call anyone when it's that late, the night was relatively young out here on the West Coast. Damn time zones!

Man. Death Cab for Cutie/Franz Ferdinand concert rocked hard.

I was really surprised at how good Death Cab were. My girlfriend is something of a fan, but they really blew me away. Stole the show, truth be told. Intense, emotive, tight.

Franz were raw, sloppy, and charismatic. My ass was shaking tonight.

Great show by both bands.

Now I'm drunk. Many beers and some great conversation, both political and otherwise. Discussions on civic politics and the unnatural state of monogamy. Good stuff. Now it's time for soup, salmon, vodka, book, movie, bed. At least three of those, anyways....

Yes I too have traded in fried shite for a healthy Subway. You don't know how hard I have to fight the next morning to keep it down, but i'm determined not to waste such great food.

heh.

I just got home about 45 minutes ago, around noon or so. A night of beer last night. I've gotten out of the whole drinking thing. Not used to pounding the brews as I normally do. Good to get some practice in now while I can.

Still a bit buzzed, truth be told. Despite eating an entire pizza.

Sleeping at home is quickly becoming an option rather than the norm as of late. :D

I promised my friends I would take photos of the beer cooler at Hi-Times. X-D

Final afternoon of Canadian drinking for the next ten days!

Friends, pizza, beer, and the Champions League. Doesn't get too much better.

Went to a park after for some sluggish footie and enjoy the brilliant weather.

And I became (likely) the first person in the province to try this new Ethiopian beer, Harar, that was recently imported. I actually tried it a few hours before the government sent me their new beer e-newsletter. Better remember to update the list before I forget...

Need to start packing now....

when the Government starts sending you messages about beer, you may have a problem.

Alcohol is a government monopoly here, after all. Crown corporation and whatnot.

I'm super mad! I just realized I'd not added the beers from London to my official beer list and just yesterday I threw out the scrap of paper I'd been writing them on yesterday....

I've managed to remember a few of them, but there's at least another 7 or 8 I can't recall! Mips, if you have any idea some of the beers I was drinking, let me know!

Anyway, even with the forgets, I'm up to 193 beers. One new beer in less than every two days over the past two years.

I added 13 to the list last California visit..... See if we can match that this time around.

I'm quite capable of doing both. I may experience sudden blackouts followed by near-total amnesia, though. :D

(Found the list. Didn't get thrown out. Up to a disappointing 197 brews... X-D )
