block rockin beats -> song to the siren
always rocked, but they have played that mix in their live set since 97, time for a change now. i hope in there new live set that it's radically different to the surrender and come with us tour. there live sets were just a bit to familiar of late. i hope song to the siren will always figure in their sets, it's just class!!!!

Favorite live audio/visuals from the DVD is Hoops & Setting Sun.
As for being there, the first time was the beginning of their set with Hey Boy Hey Girl. Just something about that moment and it being my first time...
Second time around, Star Guitar stole the show.
Actually, there's many highlights in their sets, so I could go on with a list of songs - but I won't. I still want to hear Private Psychadelic Reel live!

i really liked the version they did of got glint at glastonbury - very sludgy, very druggy - it was cool.
got glint was great live. always remeber being at brixton academy on the surrender tour. and that guitar came crashing in. i was coming up like a tropper at the time. and that moment my feet felt like i could not move while i was suffering sensory overload. pure ecstacy!!!

I love the way under the influence sounds live - the mental arp'd riff really high in the mix (a journalist once described it as edge of panic which kind of makes sense to me).........
combine that with tom cutting a filtered beat from it doesn't matter over the top.....groovy
frankly any of em live sound cool - agree with sneaker that the siren/block rockin mix is cool too....."ah ah"
mips do you remember em doing that at the Ritz in manc many moons ago?.......we pogo'd like mad on that bouncey floor!

"m'cheb that manchester ritz gig was a good one to be at."
too right - it really went off....I remember it being really really hot and the crowd going mad - song to the siren got a massive reaction from what I remember......
I also remember walking back to withington cus we couldn't get a taxi.... jabbering about the gig.....

spot on, that gig was rocking, really really enjoyed it 8)
i also remember getting a national express coach back with chebbers the next day from manchester to basingstoke - 8 hours door to door with no sleep and a one hour wait at birmingham new street!! and we had to be back at work the next day!!
hideous, but funny at the same time and absoluteley completely worth it - makes it all worthwhile etc etc :D
