Jeanie, whatever you do, DO NOT play World of Warcraft. Don't even think about playing that game because you'll go away and get sucked into a fantasy world and we'll never see you again. It's bad. Very bad I say!!
I'm sorry about your ipod, what exactly is wrong with it, maybe someone here can help?
In the meantime, get some speakers for your computer. You should be able to pick up a pair of cheap ones to see you through for not a lot of money. At the very least, hook up some headphone to the speaker outlet that's on your computer.

What a mess.
There is NO work in Europe at the moment for models. Thats just the season. Nobody works. I KNOW i will work in the States , i work really good there. SO i apllied for a VISA 2 years ago , and they aloud me a Visa so i was suposed to get it 1 october ( AND I COSTS FUCKING 1700 DOLLARS! ) ... but , 19 days later , I STILL DONT HAVE IT !!! And i am just sitting at home, doing notthing , eating all day because i am bored and all my friends go to school , i am so bored that i call english people , and pick up my old Lego from my old house to play with it ( I am 20 ffs !! But Lego will always have a place in my heart :'( )
Yeah, I know where you're coming from Jeanie. I'm a shift worker and most of my friends are students living in different places (Sheffield, Newcastle, Brighton..). I work on weekends as well so sometimes I can't even go out for a drink with them when they are here!!
Work - can't live with it, can't live without!
Its ok playing with lego Jeanie imo, if my parents hadn't given away mine and my brothers ridiculously large bucket of it a few years ago I would probably still play with it occasionally. Being an adult is dull sometimes!! ;-)

Hahaha X-D
Or everything from Paulo Coelho , very deepgoing stuff but it's good. I learned a lot from it.
Offcourse everthing from Dan Brown is always good - i would personally recomand Angels & Demons.
I read also all the Nicci french books and they are pretty good also.
LOTR is always a classic.
For the rest i only have Dutch books here so i dunno.
AND MY IPOD IS ALIVE AGAIN PEEPS. It was a pain in the ass but at least i can listen to Coachella on my ipod. Sweet 8)

i read da vinci code, that was cool, so angels and demons might have to be done i think.

Angels and Demons was OK - I enjoyed the art and all that, but I felt the story was a bit too over the top for me to give it too much thought. It wasn't like Da Vinci Code which inspired a lot of thought about the plausability of events and situations. Then again, if flights of fancy is what you want then go for it. It's a quick read.
Or pick up anything by Neil Gaiman. Neverwhere is awesome (incorporates a lot of mythology about the London Underground) or American Gods. Neil Gaiman is, imho, one of the best storytellers of our time. He is simply an amazing, amazing writer. I read a fair deal, but stash reads a hell of a lot more than anyone I've ever met and he'll tell you that Gaiman's style is executed with such clarity and lush creativity, you can picture everything perfectly in the mind's eye. It's really an incredible thing to read Neil Gaiman.
Jeanie also recommended Harry Potter - man, those are a quick read and they are very enjoyable. Despite all the kiddie hype.

I can't even think about what books to read tho', I just realized that Quake 4 is out, and that my computer is only half as fast as it needs to be to run it... the MINIMUM system reqs are a 3gig Pentium... time to start buying a new computer, once piece at a time.

oh yeah, whirly-muffin, how was the season premier of South Park?
heehee. whirly-muffin! You're so cute. :)
It was pretty funny. Not as funny as some of our favorite episodes but it was alright, not a bad season opener. There were some parts that were quite good and it's as offensive as always. This one focused on the Katrina hurricane, the blame game that ensued, and the fear factor revolving around global warming. I heard yesterday from a coworker that Matt Stone and Trey parker were on a radio talk, show and they still weren't done with the episode just putting the final touches in - so it's quite fresh and timely. I wonder what they'll do for next week.
I feel weird laughing by myself when watching tv. We'll watch it again together on Saturday. It'll be a lot funnier watching it with you...

non-fiction: Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer, Ambrose's Citizen Soldier's, or Stanley Karnow's Vietnam.
fiction: notes from the underground by dostoevsky, wizard of earthsea / left hand of darkness by Ursula Le Guin, when the tripods came / the white mountains by john christopher
I lean heavily towards war / politcal history and sci-fi for some odd reason.

I think the Harry Potter books would be great for a flight though. It's easy to read and fast. Since the books has become a big part of pop-culture it's nice to give it a read just to see what you think of it.

Can't think of too many others off the top of my head right now though.
