Yep!

And chem: to be honest, I don't really love The Wall 2 -- its good, but not superfantastic, IMO. Dark Side, on the other, is absolutely amazing, one of my faves. Though there are some other albums I like more, such as Floyd's Animals, Radiohead's Kid A, King Crimson's In The Court Of The Crimson King, and Surrender (you know who). Maybe some others that aren't coming to mind right now.

actually all of pink floyds albums are fookin good. I bought Dark Side of the moon long time ago and then i was like eh whatever but now i think it's genious. You mentioned Radiohead. Ah! Amzaing band... one of my friends witnessed them live in Canada and said it was the greatest live show she had seen. I believe her and ya Kid A is definitely a must have. Nowdays I also happen to like Led Zepplin and early mettalica stuff. Some Great music out there

Led Zeppelin is rather good, not Pink Floyd or Radiohead great though. I saw Radiohead live in Canada too -- it's where I live. ;) October 15th @ Skydome, Toronto, Ontario. Not as good as Chems, but fucking amazing.

Pink Floyd are just one of those epic, classic bands... they are in a league of their own. I saw them in 1994, during the Division Bell tour. I will agree with your friend, Glako, it was hands down, absolutely incredible. What an amazing, jaw dropping, awe inspiring... *sigh* The whole experience of going was a great day out.

OK, so in my medicinal haze, I thought Glako's friend saw Pink Floyd - not Radiohead. My bad. I really need to get some sleep before I pass out and drool all over my computer....

I have a feeling you mean chem's friend ;)

I've seen Radiohead, they're fantastic. I'd love to see Pink Floyd -- a reunion tour would be awesome.

Radiohead are playing at glasto! how mental is that. Almost makes up for the disapointment that the chems aren't playing. It still hurts though :'(

iguana are you sure that the chem bros aren't playing on Glastonbury?

Or are they not confirmed yet?

If so keep your hopes up.

Totally agree, my fave Pink Floyd track by a long way. 18 minutes of blissful sounds, it's what ambient would have been 30 years ago. Amazing stuff.

Shine On You Crazy Diamons is not 18 minutes long.

I have "Wish You Were Here" album.

Part one is 13 minutes, part two is 12 minutes. Makes a total of 25 minutes of bliss! :)

It is 18 minutes long on Echoes, and that's the album I've got.

It says parts 1-7, you can make them out individually, the music goes almost to silence then the next part starts.

Echoes is in the HMV sale at the moment, if you don't have it, get it!!
