I'm a big Elbow fan, and it's fantastic to see them finally get the recognition after years of trying, and without changing their approach. They've got dates in Germany later in the year, but no doubt they'll add a few more around Europe. Well worth going to see!

elbow are to play germany??? will have to check THAT out!
love is all.

Elbow was a highlight for me, i LOVED LOVED LOVED their show. One of the best show i've ever been to, and i didn't know a single song. Something about the atmosphere and the beautiful music.

Elbow have announced they're launching their own beer. Named after their recent album 'Build a Rocket Boys!', the limited edition cask ale will get its official launch at the Manchester Food and Drink festival in October.

Then we saw Tame impala. The sun was shinning, the stage was surrounded by trees, and they played an amazing set! They looked kinda on drug exept the drummer xD. Anyway they nearly used no keyboard, I didn't know you can produce such sounds with a guitar and some effects. They covered Bonnie & Clyde by M. Gainsbourg and Angel by massive attack =)

We had a long wait until the beginning of The chemical brothers show. I got impressed by the number of people who enjoyed Linkin park's gig. Some of them were nearly 30. Sometimes I wanted to say to them that they were not teenagers anymore...LP used Tom and Ed's led screen to show their boys-band faces on it.

We rushed at the front of the stage when LP gig was over. We were getting very excited as the crew were setting up the stage for the show..."Turn off your mind, relax, and float down stream, It is not dying, It is not dying"

Another World, this intro is fuckin beautiful!!! I love it so much!
Do it again
POWER POWER POWER POWER. The new segue between Horse power and chemical beats is awesome!(compared to what they played at "le zenith")
Huh Huh Huh Huh
Swoon
Star guitar, awesome
Here we gooooo
Don't think. It was so loud!!!!
Out of control
Setting sun
Saturate
Believe was so mental
Dot man
Superflash
Leave home
Block rockin beats!

No encore but Tom had a really great time messing with the Octave Kitten =) As a fan point of view, I think that the setlist is a bit too short but it's a festival setlist...

Ed didn't look very focused sometimes. They chatted a lot together during the show.

Anyway Chemicalmat and I had a really great time dancing and bouncing!!!

The negative point is that it was the worse crowd I have ever seen. Tom and Ed went close to the crowd several times, raising their hands in the air, clapping, but no reaction. People enjoyed the show only during hey boy hey girl and block rock :???: But what would you except after Limp Bizkit and Linkin park? They should have scheduled The chems, Underworld, Moby and Portishead the same day...

Tame Impala sound great. Glad to know the play well live (even allegedly stoned Posted Image) I feel bad I haven't seem them yet and there an aussie band. Hopefully soon.

Always a bummer when a band is put in the wrong spot or the crowd is a bit weird. A downer of music festivals. Reminds me of that Woodstock with Limp Bizkit in late 90s or something that went horribly wrong. At least you guys enjoyed it.
Come out from the cold and into the setting sun. It's where it all began for me (not in Afrika), like it was out of control. Then after that life was sweet. So dream on into the pioneer skies of the fourteenth century and rise from the sunshine underground.

^ Bloke your review (and the reviews of others) do not go unnoticed or unread...

Personally the reviews of their shows (even if it's a simple and brief "fuck yeah most awesome night evah") are my favorite part of the forum, because I can't see all these amazing shows myself. So hearing about it from people here - and viewing clips on YouTube or wherever - are the next best thing...
