You've had issues ever since I put the silly thing up. I don't know what your beef is -- I've gone around the 'net for a long time collecting pictures, information, tracklists, etc. Not just from your old site (which i've told you on many occasions over the past year, was a great site), but anything I could find, anywhere. Even old sites that i could only get in google's cache and such. Your old chembits site was awesome, I have no idea why you took it down. Sometimes I find things in forums, peoples mp3 trading pages, who knows.
The whole point of the site was because _I_ wanted a place I could create a whole discography of the chems stuff and "checkmark" it off as I collected it. Then, I'd be able to actually 'search' (contextually) and link together the songs, mixes, etc.
Personally, I don't care where the images or information comes from; some of it I STILL have to scan from my vinyls and cds (getting to that now finally). There are almost no chem songs I don't have in at least one form; and I enjoy collecting the information. So it's not as if my purpose isn't completely as a fan and as a hobby.
The site CAN'T be completely original in its data because it's a music database - of material that yes, already exists ALL over the net. I'd really love if you could just let it go and stop being so bitter, or whatever it is.
Fair enough?

right ok
im pissed off because i think ive bought a dodgy copy, the sound quality of the switch remix is terrible
i emailed 'the raft' and havent heard anything back.
does anybody know anybody else i could bring my problem to the attention of?
the solution to all my woe is to get a decent copy of the switch mix either on vinyl or on CD

My copy of the galvanize remixes is the same as yours gristy and came from the same seller, again with just a plain black sleeve rather than the inner & outer sleeves.
I've not noticed any difference in quality between the switch mix and the others but I've only listened to it once.

we've all been stung!! my copy is the same, the quality on the second side is the worst but its not till around the switch mix till it gets really bad.
anyone wanting to buy a copy without a sleeve. burn a ten pound note, it is more entertaining than listening to a poor quality bootleg

of great importance to this "investigation" (shall we call it?) is that...
the original release of these remixes on promo was called back - do we assume that we have bought copies that weren't sent back to virgin because of their poor quality, or is it something else?
how can i get a better copy? cd or vinyl, i dont care.
at this point i should probably point out that i only remember reading somewhere that the original remix promos had been recalled and i definately can't remember the source...
let the investigation continue....
again, does anybody know anybody i can email? does freestyle dust have an email address?

the record company were stopping the promos being sold on ebay. the same they did with the promos of push the button. not recalling, just protecting what should not be in the public domain. other points are there is no 'mike at the exchange' etching on the 12" like all chems releases have. plus it not a standard heavy weight 12" like the chems always use. the chems never skimp out on the amount of plastic they use on there 12" records ;-)
if you want a genuine copy its easy, buy one with a proper cover!!!
