The Chem's will be road-testing some of their new material exclusively at Glint in May....We plan to play music fresh from the studio. We are writing and recording right up until the night, so we should have lots of new mind bending chemical music to unleash!!...
That's what I like to hear! :D Apparently the Chems will also be playing a one-off warm-up for Glastonbury gig at the Wolverhampton Civic on the 16th June.

okay tantrum over and all toys are neatly rearranged back in the pram!!
but that date is probably the worst they could have chosen this year. why could it not been the first sataurday of may, when turnmills do there special parties. the problem for me is that the 22nd is the launch night for my 'makoosa' night. 3 months of hard work building up a relationship with the club. so i am bound to that night. even if i left early to go on to turnmills i'd think i was being unprofessional. my only chance is to go after makoosa ends, that means turning up at turnmills around 3 or 4 in the morning and blagging the door!!!
i really want to hear the new stuff, looks like the long trek to wolverhampton is more imperative now
todays lesson : you cant have it all your own way in life all the time.

oh yeah.
i missed NYE at tunmills this year for the first time!! just seems like i keep missing the chems there at the moment. it would have been cool to meet M'Chebne and Mippio at makoosa or turnmills, now i will probably not get the chance. it's just bad timing!!!!

can't belive it's the same night as your party makoosa party sneaker!....
reckon you should def try and sneak (sorry couldn't resist) away a little bit early and boot it up to turnmills...could be a real buzz hammering down from your own party to catch the end of the chems set.....after all it is for the acid house cause!.....would your co-promoters mind?
whats the score with makoosa - is it a regular thing or have you blagged the one night to show the owners with a view to doing it on a regular basis...
M'Chebe :)

i might have to do that!! my mate suggested i do that, but thats so he can play the prime time set!!!
makoosa should be a regular thing. but at the moment we have only got one date. the manager at the club has given one of his saturday nights boys who play twice a month the order to pull up their socks. if they don't they go down to once a month and we'll take on one of there saturdays!! its all in the air at the mo.

hi, ive never seen chems live before but im going to turnmills in may. Will it be just a dj set? If so what sort of stuff do they play?
Thanks
To answer your question somewhat seriously unlike the jokers on this forum ;)
If their dj gig is anything like what I experienced in October (has it been that long??) be prepared to hear a lot of their own material. I would also think they'd throw in some unreleased tracks as well, kind of doing test runs and such much like they did previous to Come With Us - so keep an ear out for some Chemical signature sounds.
The great thing about their dj sets from what the couple dj sets I've experienced is that they really go into it with some great acid tweaking and tunes. Their sets are known to have peaks and valleys but it's always a rush no matter what. There's also a little funky in the mix too, but I imagine it depends on the vibe and how they're playing out the club. Actually, there's a bit of everything thrown in but don't expect any N'Sync or Village People. ;)
This will be a great first time experience for you!! Let's hope you get a sneak preview of some new Chemical goodness! And let us know how it goes! :)
