i picked up a cheap copy yesterday and I disagree with sneakerbeater, it should've been titled "a tribute to turning chemical brothers tracks into casio demo-style shit that any idiot with a crap keyboard could make along with insipid, flat vocals compiled by some jack-ass record company with no talented artist and have to depend on making tributes to groups that actually have fans"

Ha!!!!! Though Biff's description is a bit more eloquent, I think both sets of comments hit the mark.
I got a promo copy of the tribute. I was not expecting pure genius, but I wasn't expecting it to be as bad and hokey as it was. So glad I didn't actually pay for the thing. No need to embelish more on what's already said. I suppose in this case, imitation is NOT the most sincere form of flattery.
Save your money and keep it aside for the Singles 2 disc set and the DVD.

There are no name "artists" listed - its a bunch of piss-poor studio musicians.

It honestly doesn't sound much better than that. It sounds like anything you or I could do with half a dozen cheap programs you could bootleg off the net.

I actually thought it was pretty funny. I don't listen to it much but if you're a fan its a fun thing to have . . . take it out and laugh at it with your pals.
And I doubt the Chems had any more imput than any of the other artists who recieve this kind of "tribute" do. The people who published the CD probably just paid minimal mechanical royalties for the use of the songs - that's all you need to do, usually. The Chems get a small check in the mail from their publisher for the use of their compositions and that's that.
