Hi,



I thought I would start a topic where we could ask some the administrator some questions, provide *constructive* feedback on the current state of the board/what we want/things we could do to help - and hopefully get some answers that would offer some insight on upcoming changes and whatnot.



To the admin : It would be great if you could please take the time to respond. We're tight knit here and protective of our board and we care very much what happens to this place so your feedback would be greatly appreciated!



To everyone else : Please, let's try to keep things as friendly as possible and keep the frustration at bay.

I guess I will start:



1.) Will we wake up one day and find that this board is completely gone? It's a big concern because there's a lot of content and memories here. Is this something we should keep in mind, and if so should an effort be made by forum members to go through the enormous task of archiving threads (like what soundertow has suggested doing)?



If so, do you know when?



2.) Is there a possibility that an all new board will be put in the place of this one, and if so, can the content of this board be saved perhaps by locking the current forums and archiving them?



If so, do you know when?



3.) What happened with anType? Why were his posts completely removed? Was it a bizarre software error? Can his account be reinstated? Is there any way to salvage all of his lost posts or are the gone forever ?



4.) The language filter is most annoying. I know we cuss like sailors sometimes but it just seems a bit extreme that somewhere down the line someone thought it would be necessary for us to be censored in this way.



5.) Will we ever get an edit button? ;)



6.) Will there always be a shared moderator account like the surface2air one, or will regular posters ever have their accounts enabled for mod duties?



7.) Is there a chance that when more changes start taking place here, the board can have forums that are for off topic chat? It might be easier for people just stopping by looking for news or reviews and such.





I guess that is it for now...

They're not the same admins as the ones 3 years ago!

As I read on google we could set up an additional question to the registration proceedure that asks for a certain word. And this word is shown somewhere on the reg formular and new members only have to insert it. I think spambot are not that smart to notice that.





P.S. The admin told me anType an he were in contact with each other. Maybe it's an explanation for the deleted account. Perhaps he appears now as anType again.

Admin was apologetic about the whole situation. I figured it's not exactly his fault, he just tried to help. However it is true that the situation just got worse - I mean... I was de|eted, spam is still here and now there's censorship on the board. I'm pretty sure it's all temporary though... I hope...

It's such a bummer about all of your posts, all of your history here - but it is great that your account has been reinstated and the admin was willing to work with you on that.

can you just tell us whats happening with the board please? what your plans are and any timescales you are working to?

Hey, you should pm the admin and let him know you'd like your FlamingDead usename changed to designer_voodoo. Other people here have done that in the past, and now that the admin is back maybe he/she can do that for you, too.



The admin may not post here, but I do know he/she reads the pm's. It's worth a shot.

I like Flaming Dead better.
