I have this piece of a track that I don't know what it is.

I got it from a friend on a tape (he recorded stuff from his record collection for me to sample) and I directly spotted it as beeing a sample the Chems used in the intro of Dig Your Own Hole. I know this sample is uncredited so I hope this post doesn't get removed...

I included it in a mix I did way back in 2001. I have the sample he gave me somewhere laying about (in a sampler if I remember) but for now I have to post the intro of my mix. There are 3 other tunes layered on top (Prodigy's Charlie, Mega Man intro and Rasmus Mass Hysteria) but the track I want to spot is the one in the background. The sample I got actually continues a bit longer (If I remember correct) and clearly is the phasing sound of the sweep in Dig Your Own Holes first seconds. Here it ends a little earlier. I'll try to find my long sample too.

Any help of spotting this track is so appreciated.

I'm trying to get hold of my friend who owns the record but without success (he gave me it back in 98-99).

It's the Block rockin' beats intro but I can't tell you from which track it originally came from.

But did you also hear these "Jericho" trumpets at the beginning?

the jericho trumpets is from Jericho. As I wrote a small part of it I added to my mix intro. I'll try to upload a clean sample of my sample next time I'm in my studio.

Sounds cool, can you send me the sample mp3? It's cool to see people noticing these little hidden tidbits!

Still haven't found my old sample. Anyone else that can spot the sample from the bit posted?

True, this is very similar...

I just add that this intro can also be heard in "Not Another Drugstore".
