This is cool http://www.filter27..../longplayer.php

A 1000 year long song that never repeats itself once!

Listen to a live stream here: http://longplayer.or...sts/stream.html

Starting Date: January 1st 2000

Ending Date: December 31st 2999

It's an interesting concept but i'm almost frightened to start the stream. That's only because I hate stopping a streaming tune when it's mid-stream.

Hmmm!

"It's exactly the same principle as taking six copies of a record and playing them on six turntables, each one rotating at a different speed."

Well, as it never repeats at least there's no scope for getting bored.

Oh, wait...

I always thought Autobahn by Kraftwerk was the longest track at 22 minutes and 41 seconds...but 1000 years!!

Think I'll give Autobahn a listen instead...brilliant from start to finish :).

There was also that Polyphonic Spree song called A Long Day which is over 36 minutes long. It's god awful.

My favorite long song is "Atom Heart Mother" by Pink Floyd from their 1970 album "Atom Heart Mother". It clocks in at 23:44. It's brilliant from start to end.

Doesn't Villalobos have a couple tracks in the 25+ minute range?

Tubular Bells is quite long.

Some dj mixes/live jams are long as well, do they count as on bit of music?
