I had one of those awesome driving music experiences over the weekend. You know, the ones where you feel like you're plugged in and in-sync with the universe.
Was driving alone on the expressway very early in the morning. Big city lights where on. Very little traffic. Free flowing ride. I felt so alive.
Had this thumping :
...with no pants on

^ Ah yes the new album came out last week, I haven't listened to it yet but seen some good reviews.
He/they also played London's KOKO last week, which also had some good reviews. I couldn't get to that, so will have to make do with the Brixton gig next year.
Now, at the risk of overdoing the Underworld stuff, here's another radio thing that Karl did. This time a selection of 90's classics, with the show properly hosted by Karl

I've fallen in love with this album and I'm only halfway through it yet! Great baselines. It takes the best from trip-hop and combines it with the unobtrusive parts of dubstep.
Just give it a spin!

I still can't understand how Calvin Harris went from producing a great electro-pop-disco album to crappy EDM, but apparently he can still put out a great track once in a while
EDIT : and without surprise, all the dumb kids used to the awful shit he's been doing for the last two albums find this track lame, saying it's a ripoff of Afrojack - Pacha on Acid (yeah because everyone knows Acid House was invented by Afrojack in 2010), Gesaffelstein (I guess they've never heard a compressed beat before) or Robot Rock (I have no clue...)

That sounded like an updated version of Mirwais - Disco Science....And that was already just a heavily sampled version of The Breeders - Canonball. Mind you, I still equate Disco Science with dirty nasty sex. It sounds so raw to me even 15 years later.
Edit: I have never seen that video in my life before uploading it...I think my theory stands up a little. Warning NSFW-ish.
