Hey all--I don't know how many UNKLE fans are here on the boards (I know one of you said going to see James Lavelle DJing was a sincerely disappointing experience), but there's a new minimix up on the main http://unkle.com/ website.

By all means, do check it out if you know the music. It's a very impressive 20 minute mix of music from the entirety of the UNKLE catalogue, from Psyence Fiction to Where Did the Night Fall. I've thoroughly enjoyed it many times over the last two or so days.

Cheers!

Looks like Lavelle was just getting warmed up with that minimix. This is really impressive--it spans an hour and includes some outstanding stuff. I'm not quite sure how I feel about the Daft Punk in there... it's a bit stale, but it works really well nonetheless.

I noticed that. Weird.

Check out the longer mix that James Lavelle just released.

I want the mini mix! But, seeing as James is responsible for my favourite mix of all time (Cream Live Two - CD 3) then I will give it a listen :D Though I'm sure The Psychonauts didn't have anything to do with this one.

Quote

The James Lavelle CD was actually mixed by the Psychonauts, who were a little peeved to receive ZERO credit for one of the most technically accomplished mixes of it's time. If there were any doubters, the Psychonauts went on to re-record some of the mix combinations found here for their Essential Mix in '96... while James Lavelle went on to prove that he can't mix at all.

Hmmm maybe I shouldn't bother then...
