kenny rogers? isn't that the alternative rocker who made up a country band and renamed himself chris gains? ;-)
Bwaha! That would've been Garth Brooks. OK - amusing story here. I used to work with a WEA label rep and Garth Brooks was on the WEA roster. He was sort of a running joke, I understand he was nice and wasn't really a jerk or anything, but his personality had a strong arrogant streak and he always referred to himself in the 3rd person - he referred to himself as The Hat and ordered everyone around him to do the same. He never said, "mine", "me" or "my." Now if you think about referring to yourself in the 3rd person, you know, it's kind of a difficult thing to do constantly. I mean, why? So anyway, when Garth decided to launch his alt-rock super ego Chris Gains, there were quite a few board meetings where people discussed career moves for the Hat and Gains.
Said Garth on many an occasion when referring to his career or himself, "I just don't think that's a good career move for The Hat."
What a psycho.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

i don't think anyone can dislike or like certain genres, i know i don't.
My music taste ranges over such a large range and i think many other peoples do also. But many people are too embarresed to admit certain musical tastes and stick to the "trendy" genres (if you understand what i mean). an example is that some people aren't open minded enough about music and stick to rap because they think it's cool to do so.
This is the large range I have in my taste for music.
classic rock, big beat, trip hop, ambient, progressive rock, punk, metal, pop, hip hop and tons more stuff that i could not pigeon hole.
so never barrier off certain genres, who gives a toss if you like hip-hop or pop music.

I use to be VERY agressive, but i've learnt to control my temper. Self harming has become a more popular option these days according to new figures, I don't get it myself.
Violence does solve many things, but i've learnt it isn't always the best thing. I just bottle things up, and I guess one of these days i'm going to explode, and will know when I do, as there be a rumble in the skys!

What the hell's wrong with you guys? How do you become so agressive in the first place? :?
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

That's quite tough man, I'm not aggressive generally, only when I hear about my girl getting stress do I get wound up, but it's not me as a person. Not even when I'm drunk, I don't get aggressive or turned on, I just find everything funny. I think musical influence is important, when I started taking an interest in music, I was listening to really relaxed alternative and indie music, back when I was about 13ish I guess. I think it really helped shape the way I am now, I don't regret it either, I used to have no self-confidence, but now, I wouldn't change anything about myself. All through the power of music.
