Oh, the Duke!! I really dig the funkiness of the Duke. And there's a lot of squelchy goodness in there. What's not to love? Not so sure about hearing it live (not that it wouldn't or couldn't sound good, it's just a matter of them plunking it in their set and where it would fit and all that). I would however love to hear them spin this during a dj set.

The Duke is probably my favorite B-Side, if you could technically call it a "B-Side", since it was only on the Singles bonus disc. but yeah, ive always fucking loved that song a ton!

its my definition of Funkytown

Love the Duke as well. Funky as Hell. Ironically its the same name me and my Dad use for our fantasy sport teams (The Dukes). :P

but with a snip-snip-snippy-snip
gave his mop a chop,

At first, I really hated the track, I listened to the first minuet and hated it. Then, I didn't listen to it for a while. Then, one day I randomly decided to give it a chance and the rest is history! I had that track on repeat for about a month. Dont know what was wrong with me when I first listened to it :S

These things happen, prochem. Sometimes it's good to just shelve something, then give it a try again later on. Can't tell you how many times that's happened to me - not just with Chems but with other bands too. I mean, not all little kids like broccoli but later on in life when they're grown up, they dig on the broccoli. Go figger.

They used to mix 'The Duke' into 'Controversy' by prince in there DJ set's, worked really well both really funky tracks.
