What's a good mixed drink when you only have vodka, milk, white rum (ick... white sucks....)? Answer: None.
Lies! If you've got any maple syrup around, you can make a patented "Team Rocket Special" - milk, rum and maple syrup. I'm sure the vodka wouldn't hurt either. Basically my mate was in a similar situation to you and came up with that "aweome drink". I've only tried it once, and it wasn't too bad... certainly better than trying to drink it straight.
Just tried it and, unfortunately, the maple syrup sunk to the bottom while the milk stayed on top. Still, better than drinking straight (although I really don't mind vodka shots) and the straight syrup bottom finished things off nicely.

All day ive been sat here trying to understand why marijuana is illegal... i might be sometime...
There's a great documentary called "Grass" which chronicles the marijuana laws in the US from the very beginning up to current. I know you're from the UK, but the laws might be of interest to you.
I got a chuckle that it's narrated by Woody Harrelson, but it's actually a really interesting thing to watch, very informative, humorous and at some points is absolutely infuriating. What I liked about "Grass" is that it didn't talk about how bad or good pot is - it's not a drugged up film that talks about how great it is to get high. It's to the chase and filled with a lot of historical facts regarding US law and marijuana, how marijuana crept its way into the mainstream, how it was scapegoated and eventually made illegal. I highly recommend the film to anyone who is eager to understand the real reasons why marijuana was outlawed in the US in the first place, rather than depend on the misguided "facts" given to us by the government.

You should watch it - if you can sneak it past your parents! ;)
I would write a detailed summary, but it would be a very long post and I'd leave many important bits out.
But basically, it used to be a legal substance, yes - even here in the US. Ainslinger (the man responsible for outlawing liquor during the Prohibition days) needed a job after Prohibition failed and was lifted. The government was looking for a new scapegoat to keep money coming in and government officials employed and in turn, keep otherwise law abiding citizens - mainly migrant Mexican farmworkers and blacks and other people who basically weren't white - in check. Wild, unsubstantiated and non medical claims were made and... you know the rest because it's been pounded into your brain since the beginning of your time. The outlawing of pot, I believe, was racially motivated and the film Grass clearly illustrates that point.
