Like pedestrains you're driving your car into?
Obviously the proper version of the vid is better When you first watch it, it's not that impressive, but once you get to understand it, it becomes amazing.
I liked the video when I first saw it - it was subtle, pleasant. I didn't really appreciate it fully until I got the DVD since the only other times I saw it was on the computer. Once the DVD came out, I could see how subtley brilliant the video was. I'd missed a lot of detail
Also liked the oranges and forks bit. It was a great concept, showing how everything was pieced together initially on graph paper - very amusing and Michel Gondry may seem like a wack job but he's is a brilliant director and he's got a great sense of humor!

did anyone else think that spike lee's commentary on elektrobank was hilarious?
Good god yes, I was laughing out loud! (didn't laugh as hard as the end of the Dom and Nic commentary though! ;) ) Spike Jonz is one nutty dude, and even though Sophia Coppola didn't do all the fancy flipwork in the video, she's not half bad with gymnastics.
Sad that she and Mr. Jonz are no longer a couple together...

On the DVD, the Micheal Gondry bit, where he has those oranges and forks laid out on the ground, don't you think that would have been a better video?
Hi!
Yes, definetly! It's much more creative than the original one. That's a little borring because of the lack of variety, I think. When I saw the Michel's video first I thought "Wow, very clever done". Simply driving along a railroad isn't much exciting..

and this railroad was computer generated..
me and my flatmate were arguing this - i reckon the videos mostly computer generated, she reckons its real footage - whats the general consensus here? real or computer generated???
I still think its funny that mtv banned out of control from their day time rotation because it incites violence.
your are shitting us!! 8O 8O :?
unbelievable - so 50 cent and his pimping and generally ghetto-thug imagery is ok but a minor revolution in mexico is unaccapteable?? fuck me - crazy crazy world.
people only got to turn on the newss to see violence worse than that - ahhh, shit that iraq pissing threads made me feel all political - im gonna start whistling the red flag in a minute ;) :)

The footage is real, was taken on a train by the Director, just digital merged together to match the song.
The out of control video was nothing special so I wasn't to bothered that it was banned (even though it's a fookin great track). It seems women wiggling their 'bootys' in our faces is exceptable, i'm discusted by it, I mean, what man wants to see scantily clad women, greased up and doing the shimmy?
CGI Mother Fucker! CGI!
