Awesome find. How did you find this track? Please, do tell.
There is one thing that I am wondering about though. Is it the original mix or is it a different mix. The horns in the original have more of a high note squeal to them (thoiugh still awesome) compared to the mix Tom and Ed play. There is also less drums in certain parts. I've found the walter gibbons mixes but they still sound slightly off. I relaize alot of this can be explained by EQ effects and pitch, but I still wonder if there is a White label out there of this.
BTW, I still love that feeling when we find tracks Tom and Ed played in their sets that have never been revealed. Feels like opening Christmas presents.
Edit: This is the closest I can find to the direct sample (go to @8:55). It has softer drums, horns still blare, but it sounds more like it.

How I found it ? It's a web digging story At the beginning there was Erol Alkan retweeting Django Django that posted this track on tweeter : http://www.youtube.c...h?v=2v-R5BnOOYY
I really loved it, so I searched on which album I could download it and I fall on a double CD compilation of Walter Gibbons mixes. I listened it and surprise ! I discovered this track was Gladys Knight. It made my day
Edit : Nice find for the unreleased mix ! It's the closest, I think Tom & Ed did some editing for the BBC mix...

Thanks, I'm going to put that in the v1.1 guide to Ben_j's FTP. Currently adding a DJ set section and have been scouring the land for tracklistings and IDs.
That version of Gladys Knight's track is an unreleased acetate version by Walter Gibbons found on a "Jungle Music" compilation. Tom proactively revealed it on a list he made of his favorite music from 2010:
Quote
emeralds - "does it look like im here"
tame impala - "lucidity"
kanye west - "my beautiful..."
cassius - "i love you so"
i break horses - "hearts"
gladys knight - "its a better than good time" (unreleased walter gibbons acetate mix) on strut compilation "jungle music"
tv show -"the trip"
sound generators : old - a steiner parker synthacon and new - a korg ims20 for ipad.

I haven't listened to the Tong mix for a while but I'm pretty sure it was done in Ableton - they might have re-pitched the Phuture track?
