Do you get the buzz off them, though?

I've never woken up the next morning and wanted a smoke. But when I've got a low to medium level intoxication on (ie. had 5 or 6 drinks, smoked a couple joints, or have levelled off after the initial rush from ecstasy) I find I greatly enjoy a ciggie or two. Synergy is nice.

My throat feels coated with tar the next day, though. Can't imagine waking up like that every day.

Good luck Mips, it'll be tough but I'm sure you can do it!

How about, every time you feel you want a fag, go make some beats and tunes?

Better stay away from Ableton though X-D

How about, every time you feel you want a fag, go cut up some stuff for pausebutton ableton shenanigans. tempo map some samples or get the pile of vinyl we've got for edits cleaned up, onto the hard drive and on our FTP? - can you also work out why the laptop ignores the soundcard 50% of time too?....ta!

brilliant. I'll go and have a cup of tea ;-)

Best of luck, Mips. I see with my father and my friends how many relapses they've had and how tough it is.

Now you've got some added motivation. Just try not to become a miserable fat fucker in the meantime. ;-)

It's hard as fuck to quit, and the odds are that you'll go back to smoking a couple more times before you give it up for good. So if you end up slipping, it'll be OK, Just hop back on the wagon and try again - it's all you can do.

Best of luck, mippio!!!

As I said earlier, just hop back on and try again.

Quitting's the easy part, staying off is another feat entirely. The lure is always there. I'm not the best example to live by, but you have my support!!

Fucking hell! This thread title really made me think: "mipps likes drag queens?" X-D

Seriously though, mipps, best of luck with trying to stop. My dad always told me that after some 5 moths he stopped smoking, he felt like he was 10 years younger!

He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.
