Yeah, Brixton is really rough, I hate the place but I love the venue. The venue is outstanding, it really is the best place I've ever been for a gig. I'm in the same situation as to where to park my car. The tubes don't run at night, but the night busses do, and there's a stop opposite the venue. I may park my car some way away and get the bus back to it. I'm really not sure about parking in Brixton. We'll see though, it's months away yet, no need to plan yet!!

I am also going to see them. I am from Vancouver, Canada. I seen their show at the Premier in Seatlle earlier this year, and they absolutely rocked. I originally was going to go to UK next year, but the bloody thing has been cancelled for 2006!!! So when I was looking at the ticketmaster websight, I noticed that they had Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, and Fatboy Slim all within the space of three weeks!!!. London is the music center of the world!!! So i couldn't resist and booked tickets for all three shows, plus airfare. Can anybody give some good pointers on things to do and see in London for that time of the year, since it is my first time in the UK.

blockrockinbeats, that's awesome that you're going to London, there is so much to do and see there!
Since it's your first time, it can't hurt seeing some of the more touristy attractions - like the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Hyde Park, Covent Garden, Portobello Road, the snooty Knightsbridge area and all that. There's a lot of museums which are amazing - the Victoria Albert, Natural History Museum, British History, etc. If you can make it over there, go to the Maritime Museum - just great stuff with a lovely view of the city. You can get to any of these places by hopping on the tube, though getting out to the Maritime museum may require a cab. There's a really cool part of town called Camden which can be a bit trendy but the people are great and it's got great markets and shops where you can pick things up for real cheap. Especially if you've got people back home that want you to bring them back a little something from your travels.
Since you're going to be gone for a while I highly recommmend you take a train and go exploring. An hours ride away and you can be in Cambridge which is a fantastic little town (don't go on Sunday, though hardly anything is open) and maybe since you're going in December there will be services in Cambridge at the King's College Chapel which has the most awesome choir - totally worth seeing just once. I also highly recommend seeing Bath which is a couple hours by train. It's one of those places that will take your breath away, the scenery looks like the stuff of fairytales. York is quite cool, very busy place with a bloody yet rich history. Oh, and Canterbury is a really great place to see as well, who can pass up a chance to see such a famous cathedral!
So much to do, so much to do. You won't be short of anything to keep you busy. Just go wherever your heart tells you to go. You're going to have a great time!
