Tom and Ed have great fans over here in America, where everything on television is mere exploit and those who are mentally weak take offence to those of us who like to create something new.I wish they would come here and releive some of us good kids from the fascist torment with some liquid alkalinity. I personally have been deeply inspired by the duo who call themselves "The Chemical Brothers" I can honestly say that they're influence has helped me to mature in an alkaline kind of way, where my thoughts are composed of presets and wires. Have you seen they're battle weapons?....Doesn't appear to be an easy task making a track like "Morning Lemon."

I appreciate that greatly. I wish I could share the music that I make with everyone but I'm very paranoid about it because they are my treasures and if anyone ever stole them from me....I would be more than mad, I would be broken off. I listen to Ed and Tom and I sometimes wonder what the hell they are thinking you know?

I understand how you feel - I've made music, too but rarely share it. It's one of those things that is personal... But this forum isn't a place where people rip one another off. People are inspired, yes, but there's no ripping off ideas here (there's a thread in this forum where people have posted their music, it can be found in the Chemical Talk forum). There's a lot of talent here in this board and a lot of people are inspired and willing to put their musical creations out there for honest feedback.
I think Tom and Ed do what they do because they get a lot from it, their drive and passion makes this so - like anyone else who gets a lot from whatever it is they do passionately. Everything the Chemical Brothers want to say is said in the music they make. If people rip them off, well - to put a positive spin on things, imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.

Lets go one step further and turn this into something else. You know something whirly I feel a little bit offended by the ruler of France telling it's people to be "polite" to Americans. Are we not worthy of respect? when people from European countries come here, and I recognize them to be from another country, I greet them and make them feel welcome. Do you think that is a bad idea or something? I also beleive in the powers of holistic medicine. There are many cures for DISEASES that the governement would rather you NOT know about. I'm NOT a lobbyist.

Oh yes of course, their weapons are powerfull. I'd stand besides them in a battle without a doubt. America is a country.... thats all I can think to say about the place I live, I can't say it's great, I cant say it sucks, becuase If I did say, my god, imagine how I'd be persicuted.. So I'll keep my mouth shut, so the overpayed jerks in suits that call them selves our "Leaders".. can just ignore me.
We are a Chemical Family, definitely, the music unites us, just like wires in a circut, if Tom and Ed were to own a large country, I'd reside as near to their stronghold as possible. They are great people to FOLLOW, and great influences on LEADERS. So, either way you wanna go, the Chemical Brothers arent a bad bet.
:) Thats why I love em!!!

About that.....I beleive in God and I love Jesus Christ personally and I'm not worried about being persecuted, that happens on a regular basis because of my defiance to conform to a sold out existance of be pushed down and not allowed to grow spiritually OR mentally. I'm a BJJ wrestler under the Gracie name and just like the triangle represent mind body and spirit to me, making music is the same way.

True justice indeed, Hip Hop is an over generalized genre man. Most people just dont understand, that the old school beats from the 80's were still the hip hop of today, just not as murdered.
It's sad indeed, keep spining your uber hardcore beats,
I'll keep makin my Industiral/Electro/Metal, with my friend's
And we will all follow the Chemical Brothers to salvation in the end.
That's all there is to it.

I agree with you whirly on what you have to say about flattery, however what I do is fallaciously attempt reproduce how my mind computes the sounds they make, so it to me, is more like a true tribute to the artists instead of a remix. Don't get me wrong I have herd MANY a fine remixes but nothing defines the Chemical Brothers. I have to admit I have edited Morning Lemon by adding some synth and filters along with some precussion. Now as for the track I made out of inspiration entitled "Tribute the Chemicals" (that is the name of the 9 tracked CD I made in light of they're inspiration.

You bring up a couple of heavy points that are easily debatable.
It's hard not to drag politics into your first point. I don't feel offended that France's leader is telling his people to be polite to Americans. I wish our leader would tell us to be polite to our guests! We're given a bad rap because of the our current administration. There are places in the world that might not be a great place for an American to visit now. Fact: global opinion of the USA has shot down a few notches since 2000, but I think the hostility is more geared toward the current administration than we the people. But the lines get blurred, and the anger is misguided. It is a shame people need to be told to treat other people with respect, but that's the way it is. People need to be told to behave sometimes. And the US isn't without blame. The US could do with treating our neighbors in Canada and Mexico with a bit more respect. And we can do without the Fox News style reporting telling us that France is the bad guy. It goes both ways, really.
As for holistic medicine - I'm not gonna touch that one, mate. Whatever works, works. If it doesn't, then you look at what your alternatives are. And so I'll leave it at that...

To everyone whom has welcomed to this "family" I thank you graciously. If you would like to know more.....I have completed 40+ tracks over the course of three years, I have only gotten better thanks to The Chemical Brothers Their song "Giant" inspired me to create a track I named "The Marathon Man" If they ever herd it I think it would bring a tear to one of both sets of eyes for it has that great thriving amplitude that morphs into something very powerful..

You made my entire point when you said it was a shame that people have to be told to behave. Me personally I was born here in the stated and my last name is Cooke. It's English along with some *cough* other things but I have manners and am respected where ever I go because I give that respect first and my demeanor demands it back silently with kindness as to set an example for others. Thats not to say that I don't realize that there is alot more involved in the governement besides manners. Alot of it spins on an axisis called "economy", that my friend is a whole other ball of wax. As for holistic medicine, I will live a longer, healthier, and happier existence listening to the chem bros and makin music because I have quit smoking started lifting weights two months ago, got into BJJ wrestling, and am now healthier than ever because I have realized that what you eat can kill you without you ever realizing it. That you can cause yourself disease by what you eat. I also plan on becomming a practitioner and change the desensitized practiced of nurses around the world.I have very lofty dreams and goals. I will succeed in fulfilling them. I wish the best for all of humanity.
