I don't prefer drinking to smoking. I can do without the hangovers, which I don't get after a good reefer. But alcohol is much easier to obtain and the quickest route for a chill, so...



In my old age, I am more prone to splitting headaches the day afterward. Not so much bellyaches or nausea because I've learned the art of maintaining a nice, long goofed tipsy (it can take years!) - it's the headaches that do me in. Also, and not to sound like a liquor snob, but I can't handle the taste of piss cheap beer. I can not stand American macro brews like Bud, Miller, Michelob, etc. To me they taste like pee smells and are such a turnoff. If I'm going to drink, it's gotta be a nice red wine or port, or something like imported beer (with the exception of Heineken, why the heck do they bottle in green bottles, it causes oxidation and the beer goes pissy after 3 minutes!) I personally love a Boddies, Bellhaven, and lambics are very nice and fizzy.

Being drunk in the day is weird but cool. Try getting pissed and then going into town doing your shopping or whatever, it's like a whole different world. Don't do this by yourself cos then you'd be a drunken loser. Do it with a mate, it's a lot funnier then ;)



I once took a trip into John Lewis (Department Store) when pissed with some mates and we knew a girl there who wouldn't join us cos she was working, so we just thought we'd go in there and emabaress her, poor bitch.

Nope, I earn my own cash, so I buy my own drinks. I do buy people drinks but they usually work on the same philosophy as me. But there are some leeching bastards who ask you for drinks when you're pissed, and you just say yes.

My days of being inebriated in public are over. Sigh. Where I live you can get picked up by cops if you're drunk in public but that doesn't stop people from doing it.

Iguana, my mates completed the pinty-people challenge last year. That's where you drink a pint of beer every hour for 24 HOURS. Work that out, 48 units in 24 hours. That's like 48 shots. Pretty hardcore.

Shit, but did they ACTUALLY do that. Cos I know when people drink they tend to stretch the truth quite a bit. Not me though, I'm honest, I got nothing to prove. I couldn't compete with a fat bastard, cos it takes longer to effect them, and i'm only 10 stone, so it hits me faster.
