Yes ladies and gentlemen Blue Monday is the GREATEST FUCKIN SONG of all times. I was listening to it today and i have realized that it makes me feel so good that no chemical song could ever do that. Well Out of Control maybe. That song is like soundtrack of my life.

I'd have to disagree ;)
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

I have two best songs ever, sort of, I don't think I could really narrow it down, different songs have different effects on me at different times.

Rob Dougan: Clubbed To Death

The Chemical Brothers: The Sunshine Underground

Blue monday is a tune though!

Orgys Blue Monday is utter crap :x They took the song and did nothing new with it instead used the same style and made a complete ass out of themselves. That pisses me off.. And Thor OFcourse i was talking about New Order. The GREATEST BAND in the world with THE GREATEST SONG in the world....and yes i realize i am being THE GREATEST IGNORANT fool. :?

I remember that Tom and Ed in an interview said they hated orgy's version around the time it came out. I was thinking 'amen brother.' I'm more of a fan of true faith myself, although I don't argue that blue monday was new order's biggest and best song.

Age of Consent is a great one too! I didn't know that was a new order song til I got it on one of their albums and I had been looking for it for some time. It's a good song for running places, they used it in waynes world 2. I think I'll go listen to that song now

You can't beat the orginal or an original. Did you hear the kylie/new order: can't get you out of my head at the brit awards (I think) a while ago? Terrible, I wasn't a happy chappy.

Temptation is a really great song - my husband and I used to always play it as we were getting ready to go out clubbing, so it reminds me of going out, good times.

I was a little miffed about the whole Orgy thing. I don't think it was a bad cover or the worst I've ever heard, but it just... it irked me to see them riding high on success with a cover song, a song nontheless which was practically one of the defining moments of New Order (at least for me and my peers way back when) Not that covers are bad, but there was no passion, feeling, it was just a cover for the sake of filling up space on a record. I once was shitfaced and went to a club, and it was played on the floor and all these people started dancing and going nuts. Then the dj played it back to back with the New Order version, and me and my gang were the only people who went out onto the floor while everyone was taking a friggen breather. As they say across the pond, bollocks!!! That's what I get for trying to go to a local club...

There was another band that pulled an "Orgy" on New Order. This band called Frente, they redid Bizarre Love Triangle in 1994 (if I remember corectly,) acoustic style with a girl singing, she had a decent voice but it was so not right for the song - she sounded quite prepubescent but at least she had some feeling. That song was played out on the radio til my ears bled - of course, like with Orgy, it was a big hit they rode off of til they faded away.

Orgy could have done so many different things with the song. They could have taken it to another level but no they decided to do the same thing over with a guitar and drums. They could have sampled some lyrics, added different lyrics, added different beats. They contributed shit to this classic and this is what pisses me off. What they can't sing their own fuckin song ? ?? Oh yes i forgot their own song suck major....

Don't get me wrong i am a full supporter of remixing a track and i also think copying some one else's style to learn from them is not bad idea. As a matter of fact i have tried forever to recreate the magic of DYOH (the drums, bass awesome effects, samples...) and along the way i have learned a lot about making music. Whirly i dunno what track you are talking about but i will for sure check it out. Temptation is great track to dance on. Have you heard the live version. OMG its the shit man!!!!
