Sounds more like someone on drugs singing about his hallucinations.

as i said before you're a mug mate!!

the words are poetry..maybe just maybe you could try and get something from them..

he sets a scene, ponders fairly big topics such as life and death..

surely you must be moved by the ending plea for forgiveness..this is stuff we all have to deal with, this song fills me with joy..i would go so far as to agree with ed and tom when they say its the best thing they have done

antype you're too quick to rant and rave maybe just listen and experience..the golden path is beautiful..and as for criticising the guys vocals for being "gay" i hazard a guess but i think the last thing tom and ed would want on their forum is casual homophobia..

peace master p's crib

chemd'up Escribi:

the "track" is great, well what ive heard of it, but i HATE that prick from the lips with a fu*king passion. the nail was hit on the head earlier,it sounds like tenacious D "tribute" and they are THE SH!TEST "BAND" IN THE WORLD. it was a record label thing putting that wanker on the track, they have a new album out.......so do the chems....hey lets hook them up..........NO F*CK OFF the flaming lips new album is sh!te and wayne coyne is a c*nt. I FUCKING HATE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am actually so so so angry with this track, and to a part the chems.

spoken word bollox

great beats,a good track except for.................well im sure you can guess who! it is just up its own arse arrogance doing "spoken word" ball juice. anyone who blindly likes this track cause its by the chems is stupid, look at the glaring facts of the crapness of coyne in it.

coyne;piss off to jack black and make your sh!te with him you prick

Come on why don't you tell us all how you really feel!!!!!!!!!!! *run away, RUN AWAY!!! chem'd up is on a rampage!*

btw, The Lips most recent record is over a year old - not exactly new.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

i think it's fair to say the a few kids who download it off whatever are bound to hate it, it's just history repeating. also I stand corrected, the lips newest album is just their album, i forgot that it's that old since I only got it a few weeks ago.

people are talking about the chems trying radio-friendly stuff, wasn't surrender all that? even tom and ed were talking about that being them at most popish, for chems standards. so I don't see how you can so bluntly reject anything new and count it out for mainstream when back when surrender was making it's print, let forever be was on every other music video. so this concept is pure hipocratcy. i think people will learn to like this track more, chems music does have that new underwear feel, at first it's uncomfortable but then becomes a part of you (i think i'm ripping wayne's world off word by word)

Just one song and so many critics. Lol. I just find it funny that how ignorant people are on this forum.esp antype. I didn't expect that from you dog... wasss up. The track is fine..let's all just leave it there. Substance not form, that's what important and i think that this track for sure has some substance to still be called kick ass pop song.Opppss i am sorry did i just say Pop.my bad. The track 100% anti-Pop. Listen to it people...the lyrics indeed are good...at first i was too like antype but now i am beginning to like this track. Hope yall too will join me. ;-)

whirlygirl;dont be scared,my hatred is only for wayne coyne, and i stand correcte,it is a year or so old.

when have the chems ever done a tune about "issues"? ok they are doing something new, good, but this song is not! like i said, take out the tenacious D lyrics and its great, but they are TERRIBLE lyrics

Nice Live @ The Social quote! 8)

Though I must disagree with you on the "softer" part. its just different, not necessarily softer. Different kind of hard.

(btw, this makes me want to believe that anType's tracktime listing are incorrect for a change... even if these are a bit ridiculous)

I think, its 3:59 and 4:46, when properly edited.

I think people are so into your (antype) opinion since you're the one who has had the most input by far on this board. The theory of Tom's marriage hitting the chems jives out of jive is a little odd. Girls aren't icky and he's been married for some time and has dated the person for like the chems entire career I believe, Ed's the most recent to get hitched, but his coolness could never be deteriorated even if his wife put flowers around the house. Maybe it's just my crackhead ideas, but something/someone that makes them happier to wake up in the morning (besides each other) is probably a good influence on everything in life, including music. And it's not like their wives come to the studio with them and tweak the mixing board to their satisfaction.

I'd agree that this song is far different from the chems other work and will be one that settles a while later, more up beat, doesn't really sound like tenacious d, the ideas are similar, but you can basically say this song is ripping "devil went down to Georgia" in that sense. Some people get used to chems stuff better, I for one enjoyed it about the third time I heard it but I'm always expecting the unexpected, so it's no shock. And last before I take my solar powered rocket back to my little moon, antype was right about the non-edit, it says 4:46 but the track actually ends on 4:48
