Copy protection annoying as hell

I downloaded Push the button at the release to get a preview, later I bought the disc. I keep a high quality copy of all my music on the computer since that is where I mostly listen, plus it's very convenient. Since EMI decided to "copy controll" Push the button I can't do this (not without the hassle of finding a work around at least). Next time I'll just settle with a downloaded copy.
What is the meaning of having copy protection? The only thing it achieves, as far as I see, is making the disc worthless for people like me. As long as cds should be listenable there will always be a way around protecting schemes.

I use that. Very easy to use once you've got all the settings in. Then I use Razor Lame to encode the files vbr stylee.
