It was George Best, a true footballing legend. Also a leading example of what fame and fortune can do to someone. May he be remembered for his footballing talent, not for his lifestyle.

Well, was ice skating yesterday and i must say i'm a dumb nut in holding balance, you know. Everytime i see people sliding like angels over the ice-surface makes me a little envious. But luckily i didn't fall down . . .

I went ice skating once when I was in high school about 15 years ago. I'm short so I have a low center of gravity which made it easier to keep from falling.
Proud to say I didn't fall once, but I was hardly graceful. I must've looked like a complete knob out there in the rink. You know, when your arms start to flail as you try and keep yourself from either falling on your butt or face - not the most flattering of poses but at least I provided some extra added entertainment.
Haven't been skating since. I'll stick to watching the pros on TV.

Skating is one of the few things I enjoy about a cold climate. Didn't get out much last year, but I will brave some extreme temperatures for a game of pick-up hockey at a local rink given the chance.
I really feel at home out on the ice, so smooth and graceful. Just me, a stick, puck, and the ice.

Doncaster, on the other hand, what is up with them? Two big scalps for them and I'm not sure I wouldn't fancy them against a handful of other Premiership sides right now.

What a week for sport! Crouchinho finally gets off the mark, Liverpool tops their CL group with Chelsea, and Wankchester United is bundled out of Europe in a neat little box. Makes up a bit for exams, I think. Fair trade!
