My dear friend Jet is also coming along; it will be her first chems experience! I am taking her along because first of all she is one of my best friends, and second because her bf broke up with her two weeks ago after 5 years and she NEEDS a fun day out!
is she pretty? send her to my place!
love is all.

Hey friends!
I'm back (with another one of those.....)
So, that was a bit good wasn't it?!
Quick review (i only slept for 3 hours in the past 2 days so i'm a little short on energy)
I went with my friend Jet, Joslyn from the forum and his mate Dennis, by car. About a 3 hour drive from Amsterdam.
We arrived quite early; we saw seasick steve (awesome), queens of the stone age (awesome), linkin park (i have to say i quite enjoyed it but they are taking themselves way to serious). It was a nice day with nice people; a bit chilly and rainy and i can deffo feel that (altough i'm still only 26) i'm not 16 anymore when i had unlimited energy. As the chems were on at 1 am we were quite tired, but as soon as the chems came on....MASSIVE ENERGY BURRITO EXPLOSION.
First of all; THAT SCREEN IS SICK! Love that round thing they have above their set-up with all the lights.
Opening: Another World. Starts quite soft, and than suddenly......BOOM! Lights in your face, music in your face. Audience goes ;'WOWWW!!!' and i think 'YES! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'
Hightlights:
DON'T THINK: What a twisted, awesome and dark tune. Really love this
Star Guitar (as always)
HBHG (Always nice to see 10.000 people go mental)
The nods to old tunes (The tiger from it began in africa, the vocals from the golden path, three little birdies down beats)
CHEMICAL BEATS ( i jumped so high at that this that i got some strange looks)
The build up in believe has always been one of my favourite moments of the show and still is.
Oke i am too tired now, more later!
Big thanks to:
Dennis
Joslyn
Jet
And offcourse:
TOM AND ED!
The whols set was just one big rush/rollercoaster/energy giving experience.

Sounds like an amazing time Jeanie. I really love that build in Believe too, can't get enough of that. Did you get an encore?
Further Remixed There's nothing else...

@ Punisher: I didn't make much photo's or video's, thats not what i do at a concert But youtube is your friend!
@ Poot: Not Den_B; a friend of Joslyn called Dennis
Oke, so i'm still tired (i was still at the festival yesterday and had a great time at Elbow and Coldplay) but a few other things that came to mind...
They had this visuals that are like rows of stars. They were great!
The exploding teapot is still there
The visuals of saturate are still AWESOME (in fact, i'm going to put a huge picture of that on my livingroom wall)
I am really amazed that after seeing them live for 18 times they STILL leave me breathless! The gig was really really great.
Tom and ed for president yeassssss

@Inchem; yes but 18 includes DJ sets
The crowd was quite up for it; but i have to say the atmosphere wasn't that great. it was the first day of the festival and EVERYBODY was drunk. And i don't like big groups of drunk people. I was there saturday also and the atmosphere was much better because there was less alcohol involved!

Hi everyone,
I also had an amazing timeduring the Rock Werchter gig: it was absolutely fabulous! I reallyloved the combination of older and newer songs mixed together. Thestunning lightshow and impressive visualsmade it a powerful experience.
Setlist
Another World (A perfect intro, starts very quietly)
Do It Again
Get Yourself High (We all love the clown, but there were some problems with the visuals this time)
Horse Power (This song gives a lot of energy to the crowd)
Chemical Beats
Swoon (One of my favourites from the latest album and the live version is even better)
Star Guitar
Three little birdies (I've never heard this one live before, but finally my dream came true )
Hey boy hey girl
Don't think (Very loud bass, but I liked it)
Out Of Control
Setting Sun
Saturate/Believe (One of the best parts of the show, every year it's getting better and better)
Escape Velocity (The build-up with the Golden Path vocals was awesome)
Superflash (Fabulous, can't wait for the release)
Clowns
Leave Home (I loved the Galvanize vocals, although I miss the Moroccan sounds in the set)
Block Rockin' Beats (The “Back Back Back” transition was a success according to the reaction of the crowd)
I also noticed a Chemical Brothers graffitiartwork inside a publicity stand of a Belgian newspaper and I was able to find more information about it. You can take a lookat the “making-off” on this website. It's in Dutch, but you'll find it easily. You can also buy theartwork here and the winning bid money is going to charity.
And I have to agree with Jeanie: the atmosphere wasn't that great, but it was a lot better than 3 years ago. But I had a great time and that's all that matters to me

Nice one Chemical86!! Glad to hear you had an amazing time at their show and the Three Little Birdies made your dream come true! Thanks for stopping by and for pointing out the graffiti art that was on display. Good stuff, love the time lapse showing how it was made, too!
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle
