Toasted bagels with cheddar cheese and pasta! Kind of like a pizza donut!

Oh "drink nuts" to translate from Dutch to English. Sort of.
I first came across these in Dublin pubs in the 90's, where they were kept warm in a perspex container and called "Hot Nuts".
Warm coated peanuts. Probably sounds a bit wrong, but tasted so right.

Years later I spotted them (cold) in London supermarkets, and I still do. But now they are chilli flavour or cheese and onion flavour.
I preferred them when they didn't have an additional flavour added, just the original flavour of the coating. But I can't seem to find them like that at all now. :|

Yeah, was in Amsterdam over the weekend for work and bought some of the usual stuff you buy when you're in the Netherlands => Borrelnootjes (without additional flavour!), Vanilla Vla, Caramel Vla, Dubbel-Vla, Hagelslag and some of the frozen stuff for your fryer (Frikandelle, Kaassoulffle, Bamiblok, Goulashkroket and so on).

With the usual stuff my thoughts went to something else.. Did you bought some stroopwafels as well? A bit cliche but very sweet! And for the fryer.. try some vlammetjes too!

The problem with "this" usual stuff ist that as non resident it's really really hard to buy since your country changed the law in that way a couple of years ago. Also german police are doing their best to catch people at border (they really have an eye for that). So no

I'm still trying to figure out how you got frozen food home to Germany without it defrosting. You drove? You had cool boxes in the back of your car?
For some reason I also thought that Dutch people were healthy eaters. But maybe not once they've uh, got the munchies...

Cool boxes. It's only an 3h drive.
