Massive Attack - Splitting The Atom E.P. (2009)

http://www.sendspace.com/file/yljojy (47MB, 7zip-file)

01. Splitting the Atom (feat. Horace Andy)

02. Pray for Rain (feat. Tunde Adebimpe)

03. Psyche (Van Rivers & The Subliminal Kid Remix)

04. Bulletproof Love (Christoff Berg Remix)

I'm still waiting for a studio-version of "Red Light" (feat. Stephanie Dosen) which i think is going to be one of the best track to appear on "Weather Underground" or how the new album is gonna be named.

for those who don't have 7zip :

windows : http://www.7-zip.org/download.html

mac osx : http://sixtyfive.xmg...m/products/7zx/

i've heard that winrar can unpack 7z-files

Found this on massiveattack.ie :

"Even more exciting is the prospect that the band have promised to give away for free, b-sides and outtakes from the upcoming album (due in January/February 2010) at a rate of roughly 3 tracks per month, which should make waiting until next year alot more managaeable for fans."

As i read on wikipedia that the songs recorded with Stephanie Dosen (Red Light ftw) won't appear on the next record, maybe this is a good chance to hear them in stuio quality.

Bakc form Le Zénith, Paris where Massive Attack played its second concert.

They played their most famous songs, so I was happy since it was the first time I saw them live.

Yet, several songs sounds less trip hop than on albums, and they didn't sound better this way.

There were two 'encore' with Karmacoma to finish.

IMHO, Teardrop and Angel were slaughtered by bad/ inapropriate singers.

I like the new songs (Splitting The Atom and maybe another one that I have never heard of).

In brief, I really prefer Massive Attack albums than Massive Attack live whereas it is the opposite for Archive.

For the French people here, during Inertia Creeps, there were messages scrolling in the back of the stage including this one :

"sarkozy champion du monde du pipeau".

Just had a look at Massive Attack's site... quite interactive, the recent pictures from fans on the home page is a nice touch as is blog and the mention of Jerry Fuchs. Anyway I was trying to see who's singing vocals for Teardrop live but couldn't find anything because of the registration required.

A shame to hear that song didn't go down as well as it could live. Topping Liz Frazier's stunning vocals is a tall order. There really is no substitute.

@Whirly:

On the last tour it was Stephanie Dosen who does the vocals for Teardrop

=> http://www.youtube.c...h?v=mhJIe-hDdew

On the actually tour it is Martina Topley-Bird with an all new version of Teardrop

=> http://www.youtube.c...h?v=mXQhIcyd7l8

By the way: i've seem them live 2 weeks ago here in Cologne/Germany and it was fantastic although i missed the vocals from Stephanie Dosen (Red Light FTW).

Update :

"Atlas Air is Marrakech

Girl I Love You is 16 Seeter

Flat Of The blade is the original of Bulletproof Love

We're commissioning short films for the tracks - not full-blown videos

Some by friends - some unexpected quarters. Bullfight will make more

sense in this context - letting people interpret the song..

First one will start to appear next week.

No single as such but working on interesting remixes of Lp and non-LP

tracks - partly for inclusion on bonus disc."
