I can't wait for all the reviews and feedback and videos ( Posted Image ) you guys will all hopefully post. The Hollywood crew here seems the most hardcore and dedicated at the moment....

I will most definitely post a review! Heck I will probably post to the forum when I am at the venue before the show starts!

I'm not one to take pictures (or film), though. I'm too busy enjoying the show!

And what does Connor talk about and keep asking me and stash about for a good half hour before Weird Al comes on stage? The Chemical Brothers.

Ha! I hope he wasn't too pressured or forced into saying that!
Gotta love the new breed of fans that will eventually replace me! ;)
Is this Connors first show btw?

I'm not considering a camera for this show, even though their will be plenty of pics and vids later. I just don't want anything to hold me down from all the jumping and shouting.

Connor wasn't pressured, hahaha!! It sounds a bit hokey but my family has been connected with a lot of people by way of the Chems for pretty much most of Connor's life. People have been our guests in our home, Connor sees these people on my Facebook and some of them are his 'friends' too. We run into random Chems fans in front of record stores in Los Angeles who go by funny online messageboard names. ;) He knows in the past we've gone to shows to meet up with people... he was just too young to take before and now the time is right. He's very shy, but at a ripe age for engaging in the concert experience and being at Weird Al was a good all ages appropriate introduction. I think the good humored energy of the crowd (lots of people of all ages, everyone was jazzed to be there) really piqued his interest so he was asking a lot of things like what can he expect from the Chems, how loud is it and will I be screaming so loud I lose my voice - those kinds of things. This will be his first Chems show. I'm probably more excited for him than he is for himself, hahaha

Completely fair enough I'll be doing the same in March.

Wow your son is going to be quite fussy after seeing the chems live. I mean theres nothing out there that compares to it.
And remembering the fact he's still quite young and that age everything is twice as big and amazing to an adult's perspective. You'll have to grab hold of his leg as he'll start floating up into the sky like a kite or a balloon from excitement!
Come out from the cold and into the setting sun. It's where it all began for me (not in Afrika), like it was out of control. Then after that life was sweet. So dream on into the pioneer skies of the fourteenth century and rise from the sunshine underground.

Yes! Keep it going inchem!!!

It was about 1:30 this morning and it was a late night. We headed off to bed around 1:30 or so and as I was drifting off into dreamland, my husband softly whispers, "Hey... are you awake?"

"Yeah, I am now. What's up?"

"I was just thinking about the Hollywood Bowl, and couldn't sleep. It's gonna be so rad."

The countdown is the only thing that kind of keeps me here on this forum Whirls, since I'm not posting on a regular basis. Life and work have kept me more busy within the last 6 months.

But on a very positive note, there have been some major changes that have happened to me dramatically in the last three weeks, and i'm glad to say that my energy at this show will be even greater due to some issues that I had to deal with for the last year and a half which have now been cleared up. (court drama, a recent job transfer, and a neck-injury turned neck-is-now-ok)

I'm saying this because I feel that all this crap that I had to put up with, has finally given me something rewarding in 7 days.

This post should've been in GB chat, but sorry, this show is more than therapy, it's a accumulation of everything that your owed in life.

No, it shouldn't have been in bullshit chat. It's just fine right here. The great build up and anticipation of releasing all of that is all part of the hype and belongs here.

I totally know what you mean. Before almost every Chems show there seems to have been some kind of upset in my life - these road blocks that seem like they are going to topple my plans - and going to hear my favorite music played out live is such an immense and welcome relief, always.

I wondered why your posts became fewer and farther between these past few months and I figured life was just getting in the way. I do hope this show is everything you want it to be, and then some!

So anyway now that we are closer to the show, it would be nice to meet up beforehand. We're going to be up in Los Angeles around 3-ish since that's check in at our hotel.

email i sent to H.B. Personnel...

Regarding the Chemical Brothers concert at 7PM August 29th, you may bring picnic baskets and coolers no larger than 15" by 22" by 15", food (of course) beer, wine, blankets and seat cushions. (Blankets and layers are recommended at the Hollywood Bowl at night as it is known to get rather chilly after the sun goes down.)

Not allowed in the Hollywood Bowl--Professional cameras (with a 3" or longer detachable lens) audio and video recording equipment, umbrellas and chairs. And, as always, there is no smoking allowed in the amphitheatre.

Thank you for your time, attention and support.

Sincerely,
Hollywood Bowl Information

...Beer and wine stuffed coolers! oh yes!
