Shit, i have some doubts about vinyls. I'am starting to buying vinyls. When we talked about EBW1 bootleg vinyl i have now a problem with a new vinyl i bought. This is Mike Oldfield - Islands from 1987. I bought it as new, packed in foil. All was alright, but the vinyl is bended, but play ok, zero scratches - new. But this vinyl has also the serial number engraved beside the plaquettes on both siedes. But it has 2 serial number on each side and one serial is cross out. I don't know about vinyl practics and reality's but is this an original or bootleg again?????All looks like a new and original but those handmade inscriptions (cross out) on the vinyl makes me the thought...

A little question:

I know the EBW1 for example is hmmm...fat vinyl, you know, it weight more than standard vinyls (there are some weights standards 180g, 220g and so on).The most heavy vinyls are made specialy for dj's. Are all chemical brothers vinyls(albums, promos, singles) made on the most heavy vinyls or thera are light vinyls also???Thanks for info.

I don't know why there are both heavy and light....

Probably...heavy is better??

Light vinyls are easy to bend??maybe...

I think so.

heavyweight vinyl offers an even better sound quality. deeper basses and so... plus, longer lifetime

heavyweight re-releases of "classic" albums (like beatles, stones, elvis, whatever) are somewhat expensive :(
