Hello Peeps!

-Sorry that i have the arrogance to think this deserves it's on thread , but anyway -

So , Thursday a new adventure is starting for me!

2 Months Australia - Sydney ( But , if i work enough ,i might stay 3 months! )

I'm so super excited cause i've never been there before!

As we have some australians on the board as well as some people who might have been there i would like to ask you some recomandations or tips for things to see and do , and i especially mean the nightlife! Every recommandation is welcome 8)

So , my last weekend in Ams is gonna be a wild one.

I'll keep everybody posted about the Australia Adventure!

Love , Peace & Vegetable Rights !

Hey Jeanie its gonna be wierd (for me anyway) you being 10 000 miles away - Europe's gonna be a pretty ordinary place!! Good luck with life over there but I'm sure you and Sophie will have a blast anyways.

Some people will do anything to avoid winter.... :P

Well .... I didn't wanna briing it up AGAIN but as we talk about it , i checked my old email adres the other day and i had emails from him AGAIN , BEGGING me to let him know when i am coming to Australia ( he read it in my MSN name , silly me , didn't know that when i block and delete a user he can still see my MSN name ) So , i'm not worried because he lives in Tasmania , but i am also going there for a week...he doesn't know when tho. But he does know how i look like. So yeah i'm not worried but it does freak me out to see he STILL emails me and STILL tries to get a reply and shit. This is not just some high school " i fancy that girl so i'm gonna drive past her house 5 times a day " , this is a sick dude who really needs some psychological help.

for example.. your talking about a death you heard of like some guy got killed in a motorbike accident and your explaining it to a friend and you yourself are a biker and say oh I hope that dosent happen to me, ''Knock on Wood''.

Its a superstition and superstitious people do it, they believe touching wood will mean it wont happen to them sortda thing.

Don't worry, Tasmania is like the back end of Australia. If he can even figure out how to get on a plane to fly to the "mainland", let alone what a plane is, I'd be very suprised ;)

You should check out the main sights like Opera House, Harbour Bridge etc, but also make sure you go to a quality event at Chinese Laundry (like Meat Katie on the 8th). Aparently no one parties like the Australians :D

I live in Brisbane, so I don't know much about the lesser known places to check out... maybe someone else could help you out there. I will say one thing though - make sure you head to Melbourne at some stage. It's like the ultimate city, trees and greenery everywhere, boutique shops, cafes and pubs everywhere too, most people are fairly laid back and it's just a beautiful place. I'm hoping to move there next year, fingers crossed...

nah ben, you used it correctly... it could go either way in some cases, knock on wood either for something to happen or to stop something from happening.

anyone, besides me, know where that expression comes from?
