I went to see The Hunger Games today, and in the final scene of the film they seriously used a reworked version of Marissa Flashback. Worked pretty well in the film, actually.

Oh I missed this at the time

Do you know whether the bros were involved in doing this re-edit?

Because it sounds like a rip-off

just spotted something remarkable similar to the main synth riff of Hey Boy Hey girl in Orbital - Nothing Left(Schizoid Man Remix). Can't find it on the interwebs though to give you guys a listen.. the resemblance is clearest from 4 minutes onwards.

That's my favorite version of the track. So much "classic spy film score" funk going on.

It's pretty close but not exactly the same.

I was eating at this chain restaurant called Buffalo Wild Wings near my hometown in Southern California. A random selection of music was playing, and then Block Rockin' Beats came on, much to my surprise and delight.

Nice to have The Chemical Brothers on the same corporate playlist as John Lennon.

Tonight's BBC2 highlights of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final (!). Closing credits: Swoon, Boys Noize Summer remix.
Nice to see Alex Ferguson in the crowd supporting his son.

I heard the Boys Noize remix (XTC) for Mercedes ad.
Come out from the cold and into the setting sun. It's where it all began for me (not in Afrika), like it was out of control. Then after that life was sweet. So dream on into the pioneer skies of the fourteenth century and rise from the sunshine underground.

Listen to the LFOs at the very end, then listen to the start of Out Of Control. It sounds like they sampled the start, then right before the beat would start in OOC, they ping pong/play the sample back in reverse before fading out. Clever!

The English language version of this was on Brit TV during tonight's World Cup game. Hard luck Croatia, that penalty was BS, and I don't think the ref needed to blow the whistle before Croatia's second 'goal'.
