For anyone who's interested my team Garforth Town were eventually promoted this (last?) season through the back door (long story). We'll be playing FC United (the club set up by fans against Malcolm Glazier) next season at Bury's Gigg Lane stadium :).

What a shambles of a qualifying campaign. Oh well, at least the media circus won't be quite as loud next summer.


There are plenty of talented players in that squad but their tactical awareness is non-existent and there is an overwhelming sense that they think they can win through sheer passion. Albania are passionate too and they're not going to the Alps next year either. Until a complete revamp of the FA structure occurs, incl. a shift in emphasis to tactical development and a balanced side, England won't win anything.


Happy for Crouch's well-taken goal and Beckham acquitted himself well also. Carson's transfer value just went down a couple mill (which shouldn't matter unless Villa doesn't buy him according to the terms of the loan).

Don't think there's much passion there either tbh! I just don't think they were good enough. I think a massive rethink is needed, most fans in England still think we're one of the best sides in the world and I think thats one of the problems.

Sad day for the Utah Jazz and the NBA. Jerry Sloan has stepped down as coach of the Jazz after 23 seasons. With Phil Jackson saying he's finished after this season, we're not left with too many figure heads left (Shaq, Grant Hill, and Jason Kidd) from the golden years of the NBA.
