See, I just can't fathom getting into a fight at a Chemical Brothers show. The gatherings around their music have been some of the most peaceful and amazing experiences I have had to date, and it's strange to me that people aren't able to let go while in the moment.

That's how most of the majority roll over here, and I'd say there was alot of people just there to get 'fucked up' and 'have a good time' rather than see The Chemical Brothers themselves.

Its just mainstream Irish crowds in general.

I wish I could try and get those videos up, cause some of them are really good :(

Damn, that Come With Us head is pretty freaky. Reminds me of Pinhead from Hellraiser.

Oi! I wanna fight!

Foxboy - thanks again for putting up these videos. I finally got a chance to view the majority of them last night/wee morning. How cool of you to have front row center and take so much time to film!

What's cool about your videos is that we're getting your perspective and experience - there's an intimate and personal aspect to what you filmed sort of like a Foxy Chemicals type documentary. The faces the security guys were making at you were funny, the crowd shots were cool, too. You definitely have the gift of gab and a god given talent for telling a story and I've always dug your posts and especially that monster review of the Chems when you saw them the first time. It's nice to see you exploring your story telling talents and transferring your experiences to video.

Thanks again!

I have a question... I noticed in the videos there seems to be quite a few girls screaming at random intervals. Were they mesmerized by Tom and Ed's mere presence or was the screaming a result of being manhandled by the drunkards and pillheads? OH - and also, how long did you have to hang out before the Chems came on to score such a prime spot?

Thanks whirly :D :P

I was going to do a big monster review this time, but I thought the videos moreless told ya the story.

In response to your questions, probably a bit of both cause I was mesmerized by Tom and Ed presence and im a guy :D LOL!

To get that spot, actually not that long, I just waited until Eric Prydz was on - and the crowd was very loose and easy to get through and then I walked/asked my way past people to get to the front but I never actually got to the very very front, but then I texted my friends and they had been reserving their spots since Steve Angello[ who came on at about 5.30] and chems werent on til 9.30 so they were there for quite a bit, i came up at about 7.45 and was at the front for a while, then we went and met my friends and just stood behind them til eventually we were just a big 4man sandwich at the front, my camera just looks like im in pole position because i put it over him to get a better shot, although ya know like I basically WAS front row I had my hand on the barrier. Its very rare that I film my chemical experiences because usually I just go mental and not document any bit of it, but this was my 5th time seeing them live and I thought I may aswell record a bit of their WATN tour. So now i have vids of the PTB tour and vids of the WATN tour, and will do the same for the Chemical 7 tour. :D

You can see the story unfold on my bebo in the pictures, I just uploaded EVERYsingle photo i took that day onto my bebo account, Started in the caravan, then made its way to portrush, then to the alleys for a wee drink ;) then to the place itself, then eventually to the chemicals!

Enjoy.

Cool! Thanks Foxy - I just scrolled through all those photos you took of your Portrush outing. Damn!! What a lovely town and it looked like the weather was nice for the festival too. I love all the pictures you took of the mates and the crowd during the gig. How you managed to take all the pictures as well as the video is beyond me - very impressive! God knows I couldn't do it. The last couple of times I went to Chems shows I came with my camera charged and ready but as soon as the music started, I lost myself in the moment and alas, the camera was long forgotten.

You should put together your very own website or a blog page or something where you can consolidate all these videos, pictures, reviews and whatnot into one place.

Hey - are you still having trouble with uploading the rest of those vids to youtube?

I dont know Youtube just rejects them for some reason, I think Im going to try google video or something tomorrow but thats moreless the same thing.. I will find out what the problem is one way or another...!

I have my youtube/bebo for those things like blogs and reviews, I was going to just do video blogs ons tuff like that and do some nice editorial work and have it all compiled in short videos.
