Ok, I was cooking omlette, chips and peas, and I stuck on Nirvana - In Utero, which I hadnt heard for ages.

It was wicked, superb to rock out to whilst grating cheese etc etc - and then, literally as I put the omlette onto the plate, the album finished!! how ace is that!!

criteria for great music to cook to:

1) you must be able to rock your body whilst cooking

2) the album must be the approximate length of your cooking experience

anyone else have any great cuisine/music combos???

:)

Na, I don't really cook. If I do it's usually a cheese toastie and I just stick on MTV:2. or paramount comedy.

all the time, but the effort that goes into making a meal, and then you finish it so quick, it hardly seems worth it. I prefer things that are quick, like toasties, noodles, some times I take the time to prepare a bagguete.

I find Dig Your Own Hole is a real fine album for cooking. And for meals that take less preparation time, I find Elektrobank into Under The Influence is sweet.

Everything played realy loudly, of course. :)
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

I once prepared a really awesome lasagna, made a nice garlic bread plus a salad while listening to all of Brothers Gonna Work It Out. My son helped me, it was great, we made a mess and in the process I accidentally danced on some crutons but that's OK, they sweep up nice to IThinkI'mInLove.

You know what's good music for summertime BBQ's? Sublime. For some reason, it just works.

Beatles are good in the kitchen too!

It's usually my husband's choice, as he's a far superior cook than I can ever hope to be. My specialty is baking stuff, particularly rum cakes. I do indeed make one hell of a kick ass rum cake!

iguanapunk, you are a true bachelor! Hint hint, learn to make a nice Italian dish. It's easy with not a whole lot of prep time and I can assure you, ladies dig it when a man cooks! ;)

Haha nice AnType!

I can cook pancakes, boil potatous, make some salads etc. Actually when I cook I prefer to watch the news, but if I listen to music then I prefer Fatboy Slim and Chems- they really rock. As a Whirly girl it happenned to me that I danced, but not often really.

Right on Guliver, Fatboy gets the groove on while slaving over a hot stove!

This is how lame I am. I was at work today, thinking, "what else is good to cook to?" So in case you were wondering where I am in my life, there you have it. At work, thinking about threads on a messageboard. How pathetic am I?

So anyway. I was listening to some reggae and aside from it being cool to chill out to, it's great summertime listening while hanging out with people and grilling something on a BBQ.

And that's the second time I mentioned BBQ in one thread. With the exception of the last sentence that mentioned BBQ. Oh nevermind.

I think about the threads at my work too 8O you are not the only one whirly ;-) we are all pathetic here (well some of us) (in a good way). I really don't any good songs to cook prolly coz i have never cooked anything in my life. I am totally dependent on fast food or my mom. i think happy summer songs would be good to cook 2.

I just found out the following

A song that's all about cooking and playing records is:

Jacknife lee- "do your thing cornball"

The lyrics of the song are like:

"Yes I like cooking when the weather gets hot."

"My favorite records get all mixed in a pot."
