So has anyone heard about a different version of the salmon dance single with all the goodies on it? Is there even going to be one? Will it be Japanese?, American? Or did is miss the announcment? Sorry, but i'm just desperate for some info.

No, i'm pretty sure that the formats that are now released are the only ones. On amazon.com and amazon.jp they only offer the two track UK-cd.

I have a couple of promos, two with five tracks (edit, snooprah and the three remixes)and three with three tracks (edit, original and instrumental).

I respect vinyl, but I don't use it anymore.I don't care for iTunes as a store, but have been known to download some things here and there. I am proud of my physical collection of CDs and spend most of my money on that format.

The fact that most of TSD remixes and b-sides are not available on CD is very disappointing. Hopefully Biff is correct and the next single will include these tracks.

I think the new B-side will be Seal.

I also like vinyl but there are too many people who don not own a record player, in this day and age the cd is the ruling format!

I'm with you, satur8. I dig vinyl, but I don't have a record player so I just don't have the need to purchase in that format (though it is very tempting from a collector's pov and when there's see through vinyl and ebw's with cryptic chemical messages etched in them!!) I occasionally purchase from itunes... but I'm a woman who likes her tangible goods. I like my cd's and when I think "I'm gonna buy some tunes" I don't think in terms of purchasing from itunes.

Ah well. What's done is done. At any rate, I hope I can make it to a record store at some point this weekend to see what they have in terms of Salmon Dance.

The "EP" is promo-only this time, a 5-track CD-R with all 3 remixes, an edit and Snooprah - http://www.discogs.com/release/1062155 (you still have to get the UK CD for EBW8).

There's another promo with 3 remixes only - http://www.discogs.com/release/1048086

The only track worth getting is Snooprah though - an utterly stunning remake of Harpoons. Remixes are surprisingly bad this time (except for Glimmers, maybe, which is also quite boring). Some bland electro-house.

Yeah Whirly, the vinyl releases do have an attractive collector's appeal.

My CDs rarely have any etchings. :)

anType - As always, thanks for the info.
