Wow, that video both upset and impressed me. There are a number of visual references that I got right off, e.g. the video for "Bad" by Michael Jackson with the spray painting on the white tile with black grout in the subway, "Come to Daddy" by Aphex Twin with the stick being "strummed" against the metal bars, and A Clockwork Orange with the overall senseless violence coupled with the odd costume choice.
It cleverly played with the self-reference to Justice's own music as the kids heard D.A.N.C.E. on the radio, and it was an interesting choice to make the sound guy appear in the video, only to catch on fire at the end.
My question is, how did they get the boom mic in the car? It's obviously way too big.
The video upset me because I don't like seeing injustice unpunished. There are consequences, indeed, and the seemingly untouchable punks needed a beat down. But how they seemed to be, in the end, using the video to hype themselves up, only to destroy the very medium which was allowing their hype, was interesting as well. Are we to assume that this kind of attitude will just destroy itself?
My conclusion: Justice is played out and over like a record which shouldn't come back out of the library for at least a year. I had the same reaction as the punks upon hearing D.A.N.C.E. on the radio--in fact, that was the only part of the video I actually enjoyed.
And with my original post in this thread: Justice has no live act. They just bring in other people's remixes and music into their set and pretend like they did it themselves. Evidence: Boyz Noise remix of Phantom, Soulwax remix of Phantom pt. II, MSTRKRFT remix of D.A.N.C.E., Soulwax - NY Excuse, Metallica - Master of Puppets. That's 2/3 of what they "play," right there.
