The technology behind the posters was developed by leading mobile marketing technology company, Hypertag.
Hypertags are short-range wireless devices that send information to mobile phones via infra-red or Bluetooth technology.
A user simply activates the infra-red or Bluetooth on their phone and holds it up to the Hypertag. As Hypertags use short-range wireless technologies rather than SMS, the interactions are free to both the advertiser and their fans.

my friends marketing company are the first to use this in ireland.
they had people at the last westlife concert here a few weeks ago with the technology in back packs giving free ringtones and pics to o2 customers.
its an amazing idea.
nokia are doing ad posters for their new phones now where you can hypertag the comercial video to your phone.....the chems should do that with the next single, get the vid sent to your mobile.....its amazing technology and a marketing companies dream!
