24 is horribly addictive. But in a good way.
We don't tune in every week. We wait til they come out for rent on dvd, then we go on 24 marathons! I think the most we got in one night was 5 episodes - it was 2:30 in the morning and we had to force ourselves to go to bed because we had to be up early for work that day.

It's all over. Just watching the last double episode now.
Thankfully they got past all that nonsense of a-twist-per-episode that seemed to be happening in seasons 5, 6 & 7, it was becoming annoying and almost unwatchable at one point. Thankfully they've had a bit more time to produce a decent script with genuinely shocking twists this season, a couple of which got me really upset.
What I've done for this season is record 12 eps at a time and watched them over one weekend, one in March and now this weekend. Today I've watched 6 episodes and now I'm on the last two. I'm really sad that's it's all over now. More upset than when Lost finished a couple weeks back.
Granted there's a movie on the way, but 24hrs compressed into 2 isn't what I'm into this for.
Overall, I will miss this show more than most I've watched over the years.
So long Jack Bauer, the toughest guy on TV.

I thought the last season of 24 was terrible but I had been been tuning in every season - so it was more of an obligation to finish watching the series. I think that show jumped the shark when the nuke went off outside of Los Angeles. Other seasons to me felt like the story telling was hanging by a thread.
We went back and are netflixing the first season, and we're about halfway done. It's cool to revisit it. That was hands down the best season of 24. Really gripping, engaging storytelling with loads of suspense and twists and turns and "oh shit!!" moments. The whole Counter Terrorist Unit good guys/bad guys set the bar of American prime-time cop drama in a post 9/11 world. American television reflecting a sing of the times. It was totally over the top, but a good way to kill a weekday evening.
Jack Bauer really was the toughest nut on television, yeah.

Yes, the last season was the weakest, but it did have some EPIC scenes towards the end! DANA!
It certainly did suffer from "creative fatigue" and there were moments where I actually laughed out loud at how ridiculous a scene was, which has never happened before so I'm glad it's over for Jack now. The journey was incredible, and everybody who hasn't seen it, needs to see it. Truely gripping TV.

My favourite moment was Logan shitting himself in the limo "it's... it's JACK BAUER ! HE'S HERE TO KILL ME ! DO SOMETHING !"

The two best american series right now are House and Breaking Bad. I don´t see any love for them here...
Also Chuck and V.
Anyone?
P.S. I miss Lost. I'm thinking about buying all 6 seasons so I can rewatch, but then I remember that I don't have enough time for that.
