Carl Cox is great, Ive only seen him once but the big man is a great dj, i love the way he talks to the crowd and is just up for a laugh. Its allways great to be near the front at a gig, every chems show or club night i have been near front except glasto.

I think so,too.I have been to some clubs in London,he played DJ.He is good tunes. :)

i've seen them 5 times now in varying positions around the show.............. the only time i was at the front was in the arches in glasgow when they were playing a dj set.............. me and my mate gary fell over the barrier and kinda landed in a mish mash of sweat and cables got dragged out by our ears by 2 big bouncers and spent the rest of the set at the back :)

can't remember much about that night but it was not long before brothers gonna work it out was released and it was a verty similar set to that I THINK....

I imagine it depends on the venue where the best place to stand is

at t in the park i was kinda middle of the crowd.............

the times i've seen them in the barrowlands in glasgow i'd say nearer the back is better (it's nearer the bar)......

Thanks for the replies! I thought, guh newbies never get responses.. but 13 now. wow. thanks.

Being at the front was amazing for me. The speakers didnt hurt my ears (I've sort of built up a tolerance being a drummer), and I could see everything really clearly. No big heads in my view! Even more suprisingly, there was only one surge that really hurt. Luckily my big mouth warned everyone before it started so no one touched me or tried to steal my spot! Also at the end of the show, instead of having to push through the crowd to try and get out, one of the crowd care people just picked me up and let me out through the barracade! I was only about a metre away from the boys!

I got a "Push the button" guys tshirt (the girls ones were pink. icky) It just has the ptb logo and the chemical brothers logo on the sleeve.

Lita

Okey Dokey.... where do i start...

I, unlike you, am a long time chemical brothers fan. Not super long, but 6 long years of devotion is still half the chem's musical lifetime.

Did you see me bawling my eyes out? I was at the same gig as you, in a purple lycra top, hair in 2 bunches, and red in the face from tear stained cheeks. I was SCREAMING. You couldnt miss me. Oh yeah.... and i was front row, CENTRE. :P so stick that up ya [j/k]

Also, the girls tshirts are AWESOME! Yes they are pink but theyre so cute! They have a purple galvanize logo on the front and im wearing it now! it smells like 3 days after a festival and no washing...

didnt look too much to the middle... but i was only slightly off centre! i had a black tshirt on with a tulle skirt and was dancing like the biggest idiot. You might've saw me leave.. when the crowd care dude picked me up.. the boss dude in the black..

I dont really know! But it was an excellent gig. Tom looked super sexy!

Maybe we'll end up on Big Day In?

Lita, welcome aboard. It's very cool to read about recent Chemical converts who were shown the light at a gig, and accepted Tom and Ed as their musical saviors! ;)

TRCC, it comes as no surprise that you were screaming and crying!! But hopefully this time it was tears of joy rather than tears of sadness for having missed part of their set because of an automobile accident! ;) Glad to see you more than made up for it by being dead center!

Oh totally Whirly, it blew my mind! Last time i was balcony front row very much OFF centre, this year i was exactly where i needed to be :-) And Ed put his hands up and tom reached over ed and grabbed them... mmm... sweet sweet male interaction.... but also very touching - dont we all love to see the chemical brothers havin a hug or holding hands after all these years? unbelievable.

Also, i got a tonne of photos! I think i'll start a new thread to advertise this as well cause i know a few ppl who'd be kinda interested...

I love being up at the front during a show. It makes me feel young. ;)

The 2 times I saw the Chems live at Coachella, we were in the middle, near the mixers. Though I would've liked to have been front and center, being in the middle was was actually great because it was like being swallowed by this enormous sound all around you. Lost completely in the music.

At the last Coachella event, a friend of mine who we involuntarily got seperated from managed to get up front and center because she thought for sure we'd have fought our way to the front. Poor thing, she was up front all by her lonesome. Anyway - she said the sound was actually a little too much. The way she described it was like she was trying to keep afloat while this huge, noisy wall of sound kept crashing over her.

Still, I would love to be up front for a live gig, like where chi and Lita were. Imagine that, imagine being up in front of a huge mass of people. The idea is kind of scarey but really exciting, too!

The 2 times I saw the Chems dj, I was up at the front (though the first time mid-set I let a couple people in front of me because one of them had his little boy on his shoulders, and I thought that was so adorable.) The sound was good, and you keep an eye on what's going on on stage (not like I know what Tom and Ed are really doing with all that vinyl.) It's still cool, being right there up front is the fountain of youth for me.

Dead centre, dead front, Sydney BDO, Huge Stadium, Last act of the night,

Earlier that night a crowd surfer landed on my head and i thought i was gonna die of a bad head ache. but i got to the front for chems, and as soon as the brothers stepped on stage, my bodie was fine, i no longer felt tired, sick, nauseous.

It was A miracle
