Fatboy Slim and Iggy Pop have recorded a collaboration which is set to be included on the forthcoming new album from the DJ.

The new album from Fatboy Slim, aka Norman Cook, will be released next month following a visit from Pop, who stayed at the DJ's house recently to record the collaboration.

Speaking to The London Paper, Cook, explained: "He [Pop] was great to work with – a real sweetie.

"We met in Miami, partying. He then came round the house and had a cup of tea. Iggy offstage is a very gentle and polite man. He stayed with us in Brighton for a few days to record.

"I told Woody [Cook's son], 'This is Iggy, he's from America.' I didn't tell him the stories. Iggy would tell these over a glass of wine after we'd finished in the studio."

I saw Norman outside Habitat last night.

I was squabbling with Charlie, telling her not to bend my Chaz Jankel 12" as she put in her bag.

This will definitly be an interesting collaboration. I figure that it'll sound very similar to some Prodigy stuff. Maybe it will be the single?

Yeah, I remember reading about this recently. Pretty sweet.

I'm anxious to hear what Prodgy & Norman have been cooking up...

On his Ask Norm pt.3 he said the new album was "7/8" finished, but that it probably wouldn't be coming out until the summer.
