Hi,

please I'm looking for information and confirmation of the presence of the Chemical Brothers in Naples on 22 November.

This is the link of the event : http://www.lastfm.it/event/828209

I fear that the evening is only a dj set to music of chemical brothers.

Peace CHEMICAL and Love !!!!

@Meerkat--any hints on new material you'll be dropping? Something to get our ears excited with anticipation?

Even a 2 second sample would be great!

...or how about that 'LOF' with Joe Satriani :)

I don't know why but it seems so odd to see meerkat to post in this thread. Mind you it seems odd to me any time when meerkat posts....everytime I think of meerkat now I think of Telus.....Damn phone company commercials! But never damn to meerkat. Always love to meerkat.

None the less. The usual to you meerkat, spit spot, have a good show, drink a good cup of tea, play some new songs for those crazy italians, and so forth.....

Oh, that still is HBHG? Thought it was something other and HBHG was only the first 10 seconds or so.

no, there's a japan 97 show with it as the encore, as well as an early version of music:response.

HBHG was the longest it took them to write a track according to the Ask Tom & Ed on the old, uber-sexy CWU era website (I had actually asked the question). Tom, I believe it was, said it took them 3 years. That older version should also be on the Anti-Nazi mix as well as a few other recorded live DJ sets. Very much reminds me of a DYOH b-side, with it's punchy beats and break-dance ability. Also contains a snippit of the Jungle Brothers in their. Finally, I think they changed it and made it heavier hitting in DJ sets the last few years (as opposed to the Anti-Nazi version). Guess we'll have to listen side by side...

"...and now you know the rest the story of a little song that became a big hit"

Ah, the CWU era website. I did enjoy the visual feel of that one much more than any other... Plus the Q&A with T&E was really cool.

::sniffles:: Ah, nostalgia... I remember coming across the forum back then and questioning whether or not to join, thinking to myself, "Do I really want to become one of -those- people?"

Thanx Pnx!

@Biff

I love the early versions of those type of tracks. The original version of the song that was sampled on HBHG was the shit back then. I start with some pop-locking and then bust a quick windmill, but the song is old-school. My fave 'early version' track goes to LOF though but much love for T and E for perfecting HBHG.

I like the pre-surrender HBHG better than the actual HBHG. I guess it's just because of the snare drum, but it makes it oh soo heavier!
